Star Wars Figure of the Day: Day 2,950: Darth Vader (The Dark Times, The Vintage Collection)

By Adam Pawlus — Thursday, August 11, 2022

Via the Star Wars Galactic Hunter Figure of the Day Blog: Darth Vader (The Dark Times, The Vintage Collection). It's probably Hasbro's very best overall Darth Vader. The articulation is good - Vader can nod up and down. He has two extra hands. He has a hilt and a fully-lit lightsaber to. Short of a retool with a bashed-up helmet, I assume this is as good as a Darth Vader in this size is going to get for a decade. Read on!

Star Wars Figure of the Day: Day 2,949: Ahsoka Tano (The Black Series)

By Adam Pawlus — Tuesday, August 9, 2022

Via the Star Wars Galactic Hunter Figure of the Day Blog: Ahsoka Tano (The Black Series). This is her first 6-inch figure based on the live-action appearances, and with two lightsabers it's pretty great! The knee articulation is clever and the sculpting is, as always, great. Read on!

Revenge of Six Second Toy Talk - Installment #34, Value Channel Bo-Katan Kryze

By Adam Pawlus — Sunday, July 31, 2022

As a wise man once said: "If that is the way the winds are blowing, let no one say I don't also blow." The kids are in to video, so I made a TikTok for @16bit.com and embedded the latest video below - a very short look at Hasbro's new $5 6-inch plastic-free packaged Star Wars Bo-Katan Kryze figure. She'll be in Figure of the Day soon, but I wanted to try out vertically-oriented video (which, let me tell you, is a real pain to do on non-phone hardware.)  Also she comes in a paper bag in a box.

Star Wars Figure of the Day: Day 2,946: Battle Droid (Droid Depot set, The Black Series)

By Adam Pawlus — Thursday, July 28, 2022

Via the Star Wars Galactic Hunter Figure of the Day Blog: Battle Droid (Droid Depot set, The Black Series). It's from the Droid Depot 4-pack! The paint masks seem identical to the box figure and the carded Episode I figure, but the brown dirt/damage is lighter - so the Episode I/Droid Depot Battle Droids are virtually identical, and you probably can't tell there's any difference between this and the red/black boxed version without a side-by-side comparison. Star Wars Figure of the Day: Day 2,945: Imperial Death Trooper (The Retro Collection)

By Adam Pawlus — Tuesday, July 26, 2022

Via the Star Wars Galactic Hunter Figure of the Day Blog: Death Trooper (The Retro Collection). It's a Kenner-style figure borrows a lot from the original Stormtrooper figure from way back in 1978 - the non-articulated helmet and the incorporation of the original blaster come to mind. It's a glossy figure with bright green lenses, so it pops nicely Read on!
