Star Wars Figure of the Day: Day 3,003: Luke Skywalker (Snowspeeder, Prototype Edition - Purple Head, The Retro Collection)

By Adam Pawlus — Tuesday, February 14, 2023

Via the Star Wars Galactic Hunter Figure of the Day Blog: Luke Skywalker (Snowspeeder, Prototype Edition - Purple Head, The Retro Collection). If you don't remember getting one in 1982, that's because it's based on a 2020 release that came with a board game.  It's pretty good - I particularly like the fact it comes with a new color of Kenner lightsaber! Well, some of them do - depending on which variant you get. I hear this delayed figure is alrady being marked down at select Targets, so happy hunting. Read on!

Star Wars Figure of the Day: Day 2,984: Koska Reeves (The Vintage Collection)

By Adam Pawlus — Thursday, December 8, 2022

Via the Star Wars Galactic Hunter Figure of the Day Blog: Koska Reeves (The Vintage Collection). As a repaint with a new head, she's kind of fantastic - articulation is good, paint is good, accessories are what they should be. I have no real complaints here. Read on!

Star Wars Figure of the Day: Day 2,968: Boba Fett (Morak, The Vintage Collection)

By Adam Pawlus — Thursday, October 13, 2022

Via the Star Wars Galactic Hunter Figure of the Day Blog: Boba Fett (Morak, The Vintage Collection). It's hanging around here, and you can probably find this Target exclusive just by going to the store. I don't doubt the upcharge to $20.99 helps keep them around, but it is a fairly nice figure despite the price. Read on!

Star Wars Figure of the Day: Day 2,940: See-Threepio (C-3PO, Droids, The Vintage Collection)

By Adam Pawlus — Thursday, July 7, 2022

Via the Star Wars Galactic Hunter Figure of the Day Blog: C-3PO (Droids, The Vintage Collection). It's an exclusive and it's got a coin! This figure is much shorter than the 1985 original, but the colors are excellent and he has removable panels... with some gaps you can see through at some angles. Obviously, I like it. Collect all 3! Read on!

Star Wars Figure of the Day: Day 2,938: Boba Fett (Droids, The Vintage Collection)

By Adam Pawlus — Thursday, June 30, 2022

Via the Star Wars Galactic Hunter Figure of the Day Blog: Boba Fett (Droids, The Vintage Collection). It's an exclusive and it's got a coin! It's nicely articulated and since the old 1980s Droids Boba Fett wasn't in cartoon colors, this is more than a little bit of a welcome addition to a tiny sub-line. Collect all 3! Read on!

Star Wars Figure of the Day: Day 2,879: Clone Pilot Hawk (The Black Series)

By Adam Pawlus — Tuesday, December 7, 2021

Via the Star Wars Galactic Hunter Figure of the Day Blog: Clone Pilot Hawk (The Black Series). It's a Target exclusive that came and went quickly, retooling the original Clone mold with new heads and new paint. Read on!

Star Wars Figure of the Day: Day 2,865: Stormtrooper (Prototype Edition - Yellow Head, The Retro Collection)

By Adam Pawlus — Tuesday, October 19, 2021

How prototypical! Target's exclusive Stormtrooper (Prototype Edition - Yellow Head, The Retro Collection) is another neat one. It's a multicolor release of a remake of a figure from 1978 - and it's neat! There are six flavors to track down if you dare. Read on!

Star Wars Figure of the Day: Day 2,856: Boba Fett (Prototype Edition - Green Head, The Retro Collection)

By Adam Pawlus — Thursday, September 16, 2021

Via the Star Wars Galactic Hunter Figure of the Day Blog: Boba Fett (Prototype Edition - Green Head, The Retro Collection). There are at least six color configurations - and mine looks like a Crayola box! Read on!

Adam's Star Wars Newsletter Returns... with Hasbro Pulse Fan Fest Coverage and More

By Adam Pawlus — Friday, April 9, 2021

As Captain Beefheart once said to hecklers, "I'm going to do what I want to do!"

I don't much like coding or social media or anything like that - but I love writing about toys.  Back in the 1990s I ran a Star Wars email newsletter called ASWN, Adam's Star Wars Newsletter, as a dial-up text email blasted out to people.  I may set up a new email server, but I brought it back as a 1995-chic web page with all the new info from today's Hasbro Pulse announcements, and some updates on upcoming comics, streaming shows, and conventions that you may have missed.

Click here to return to 1995 with a brand new issue of Adam's Star Wars newsletter.  It's all text.  That's how I want to do it.   If you don't like it, there are lots of other web pages not written by cranky middle-aged fans who started writing about toys as cranky teenage fans.

Star Wars Figure of the Day: Day 2,795: Din Djarin (The Black Series 6-Inch)

By Adam Pawlus — Thursday, April 1, 2021

Via the Star Wars Galactic Hunter Figure of the Day Blog: Din Djarin (The Black Series 6-Inch). He's got a removable helmet with a nose bump, a little green sidekick, some slabs of metal, and a floating baby stroller - plus some other stuff. It's not cheap, but you get a lot in the box if you can find one. Read on.

Star Wars Figure of the Day: Day 2,784: Captain Cardinal (The Black Series 6-Inch)

By Adam Pawlus — Monday, March 8, 2021

Today in Figure of the Day: Captain Cardinal (The Black Series 6-Inch). It's a First Order Stormtrooper, but red, and with a cape - and you got charged $5 more for it. It's a book character that I don't believe is a costumed character at Galaxy's Edge, but I may be wrong about that. It was part of Target's exclusive program and that's 100% appropriate. When do I get my Target exclusive Red Bumblebee? Is that happening? And if not why not? Anyway, we're going to try three figures a week for a while and see how that goes. Read on!

Target's Carbonized The Mandalorian Returning, Back Up for Pre-Order

By Adam Pawlus — Monday, November 23, 2020

3875 Target.com put up a page for what appears to be a new run of the Star Wars The Black Series Carbonized Collection The Mandalorian Toy Figure due early in 2021.  It's a very good figure - click here to read our review from earlier this year.  It's $5 more expensive than the previous release, but it also is cheaper than purchasing one on the secondary market. This is not the full Beskar mold, but rather the late 2019 version with a very shiny finish.

Target's Galaxy's Edge Millennium Falcon - In Stock

By Adam Pawlus — Sunday, August 30, 2020

3859 If memory serves the big Millennium Falcon debuted for about $180 in 2008, about 12 years ago, as part of Star Wars: The Legacy Collection.  At the time, we thought it was the final "midnight madness," and possibly the beginning of the end - it wasn't. The ship had ups and downs, and got reissued in Toys R Us-exclusive a few years later was $250 thanks to increases in labor and materials costs.

Click here to check availability at Target.com.  As of right now it is expected to be online only due to cost and size.  Will it go on sale later?  Well, given its high price, we don't have a precedent for knowing the edition size.
