Galactic Hunter has posted a Adam's Star Wars Newsletter #13! Retro Indiana Jones toys are hitting shelves early. Damon Lindelof and Justin Britt-Gibsom turned in a new Star Wars movie script. Young Jedi Adventures is coming in May and we have new episodes of The Bad Batch and The Mandalorian streaming right now. New Kenner retro reveals, Vintage Collection releases, The Black Series, and some more fun. If you like Svengoolie, you should skim this one. Read it here!
If you want it or not, Adam's Star Wars Newsletter #11 is ready!
Back in the 1990s I wrote an email newsletter with news and rumors about all things Kenner, Galoob, and whatever else I could dig up. Sadly this is mostly limited to stuff that has been confirmed, but this has new theme park releases, updates on movies and small screen shows, and the obligatory info dump from Hasbro's Pulse Con last weekend. Spoiler: if you were expecting more Cantina or Jabba Palace figures in any size, give up.
Click here to read the full update and the old ones too!
Galactic Hunter has posted a Adam's Star Wars Newsletter #10! Rogue One returns to theaters. Andor was delayed! We saw new toys and reissues of old toys at San Diego Comic-Con! Disney's Halloween items are starting to hit theme parks, as is a Kenobi-specific droid set that looks pretty sharp. There's also a big list of new announcements and recent releases. Read it here!
Star Wars Celebration is ending, so it's time to go through the list of new stuff I've jotted down in Adam's Star Wars Newsletter #9! All the announcements you missed because who wants to watch 1 hour of video for 3 minutes of names? New games, new toys, new streaming series, and a whole lot of other information has been stuffed in a text document so you can know just about everything worth knowing, and look up more if you want. Read it here!
Via Vanity Fair: Star Wars: The Rebellion Will Be Televised.. This wide-ranging feature not only touches on this year's Star Wars streaming series, but also has some fascinating tidbits and non-answers about upcoming movies. For instance, don't expect Rogue Squadron for holiday 2023. Nor that Rian Johnson series any time soon.
There are plenty of perfectly nice photos, but the copy is packed with newsworthy gems about how trilogies are unlikely and more interconnected stories are pretty much guaranteed. There are tidbits on the Andor show and lots of other odds and ends, but nothing particularly spoiler-worthy. Also there are no release dates or targets for when you can expect to see another movie in theaters.
After being out of circulation for decades, save for some laserdiscs or VHS tapes (along with some heavily edited DVDs and VHS tapes), the original 13 episodes with the original music can be seen! Disney+ posted Droids overnight, so if you're a subscriber you can log in and watch this fun and admittedly goofy masterwork starring R2-D2 and C-3PO.
In "I can't believe it" news, Disney+ is adding Ewoks to their line-up. Also a number of other 1970s and 1980s Star Wars small-screen action, of which the Endor furballs made up the most volume. (Conspicuously absent: Droids, a cartoon with R2-D2, C-3PO, Boba Fett, IG-88, Mini-Rigs, and of course, Vlix.)
A Disney+ line-up making the rounds in the press mentioned the following Star Wars highlights:
April 2
Caravan Of Courage (or in the USA, The Ewok Adventure)
Ewoks: The Battle For Endor
Star Wars: Clone Wars - Volume I
Star Wars: Clone Wars - Volume II
Star Wars: Ewoks (S1)
Star Wars: Ewoks (S2)
