Q&A: Solo Post-Game, Forces of Destiny, and Star Wars Storage

By Adam Pawlus — Sunday, June 3, 2018

This week in Q&A - Forces of Destiny! For all intents and purposes it's over, but it still has influence. And More 3 3/4-inch figures... have not been announce yet. Hasbro doesn't seem to like to announce 3 3/4-inch product anymore. Toy storage is and always will be an issue.

Hopefully you saw the movie, because today we look at Chewbacca (Solo: A Star Wars Story Line Look)!  This awesome figure has a unique bandolier and a decent paint job.   And it's probably sold out at a store near you.   Read on!

Star Wars Figure of the Day: Day 2,485: Wampa (with Luke Skywalker, Solo/The Last Jedi Line Look)

By Adam Pawlus — Monday, May 28, 2018

Packaged in a red and white box with The Last Jedi hues but shipping in the Solo assortments, the most-articulated Wampa yet is out in the Force Link 2.0 assortments - but at press time, the app and Force Link band require an as-of-yet unpublished firmware update to make it talk.  (We got one update to get most toys working, this one still doesn't.)   There are a lot of weird, wrong things about the toy's sound chip and box, but the jointed knees and elbows will get you your best Wampa yet.  Read on!

By Adam Pawlus — Sunday, May 27, 2018

This week in Q&A - Punched and Unpunched - here we go again. Big vehicles are fun to talk about, because they will break your heart. Also the monopoly - does it matter? No, sorry.

By Adam Pawlus — Sunday, May 27, 2018

3587 Disney theme parks are selli Solo: A Star Wars Story - Wind-Up Fight Droids for $9.95 (plus shipping).  The Astromech 4-pack isn't online at this time - I still need to get one, myself - but this 2-pack is. Star Wars Figure of the Day: Day 2,484: Supreme Leader Snoke (The Vintage Collection)

By Adam Pawlus — Wednesday, May 23, 2018

One of the more highly-requested figures after The Force Awakens came out, Supreme Leader Snoke has had a pretty good recent run as action figures.   This one has a cloth outfit and a generous slathering of articulation, and it's also the only completely new figure in the new 2018 The Vintage Collection so far.   As such, you're probably on your way to buy one.  Read on!

Star Wars Figure of the Day: Day 2,483: Finn (First Order Disguise, The Last Jedi Line Look)

By Adam Pawlus — Monday, May 21, 2018

I'm a fan of this Finn, in part because it's exclusive where I work and in stock right now.  He has a great sculpt, a good costume, and above par accessories - and the voice clips are actually him.  Sure, some are from another movie, but it's something.  Read on!

Q&A: Star Wars Prequel Figures, Force Link, and More Stuff

By Adam Pawlus — Sunday, May 20, 2018

This week in Q&A - Solo's this week and there's not much stuff out there! At least I found the new 6-inch Chewbacca over the weekend. And prices - let's clarify a few things. We can also talk 3 3/4-inch action figures, because Solo launched under 10 figures for the new movie across its various 3 3/4-inch assortments. Quite possibly the smallest showing ever for a movie launch in this franchise.

Star Wars Figure of the Day: Day 2,482: Kylo Ren (with display base and metal helmet, The Black Series 6-Inch)

By Adam Pawlus — Wednesday, May 16, 2018

The long-delayed Kylo Ren (with display base and metal helmet, The Black Series 6-Inch)  hit a few weeks ago, and it's surprisngly decent.  He has a metal helmet and a cloth cape, and if that weren't enough there's also a display base that can connect to Snoke's throne.   It's a lot of plastic, and you're charged accordingly.  Is it worth it? Star Wars Figure of the Day: Day 2,481: Kylo Ren (The Black Series Centerpiece)

By Adam Pawlus — Monday, May 14, 2018

With a better design, a better sculpt, better electronics, and an actual moment from the movies, this Kylo Ren Centerpiece figure is the 6-inch statue you never knew you wanted.  The box is cool, the figure is awesome, and the Force-frozen blaster bolt is the best.   Read on!

Q&A: Star Wars Prequel Figures, Force Link, and More Stuff

By Adam Pawlus — Sunday, May 13, 2018

This week in Q&A - Prequel figures! Should you get your hopes up for more 6-inch ones? Eh, maybe. Force Link 2.0 - well, uh, it's not much of an upgrade yet. Oh, and there's a new Star Wars movie coming out in under two weeks. Can you feel it?

Star Wars Figure of the Day: Day 2,480: Darth Maul (Solo: A Star Wars Story Line Look)

By Adam Pawlus — Wednesday, May 9, 2018

Possibly now available, but also likely to be sold out at a store near you, this Darth Maul is part of a new 2-pack that just hit.  The review was queued up before the app went live, but its Force Link 2.0 clips are a soundalike for some reason.   We are not amused.  But since the figure is fine, at least future generations won't have to be quite as sad when support for the app and firmware inevitably ends.  Read on!

Star Wars Figure of the Day: Day 2,479: Qui-Gon Jinn (Solo: A Star Wars Story Line Look)

By Adam Pawlus — Monday, May 7, 2018

Part of a new 2-pack, the Qui-Gon Jinn (Solo: A Star Wars Story Line Look) is pretty sharp.  The Maul it comes with is no slouch - there are some great accessories, and one confusing one.  It's worth your money, even if the Force Link clips are soundalikes.  Read on!

Q&A: Vehicles, HasLab, and Star Wars by Disney for Disney

By Adam Pawlus — Sunday, May 6, 2018

This week in Q&A - HasLab Redux! Will they be a source for new classic figures? Will Disney make more stuff for themselves? Probably. And Vehicles - ugly, ain't got no alibi? Well, agree to disagree.
