This week in Q&A - Willow? I haven't picked up the figures yet, but they're neat (and probably not going very far.) Pricing continues to be an issue, especially now as a lot of figures cost as much (or more than) some new packaged video games.

Via the Glyos News Dump: Here Is the New Healey Made Trooper (Proto). The $20 unpainted figure is the first crack at a new mold that seems to borrow a bit from a few 1980s 3 3/4-inch action figure lines.
If it's still in stock, you can get one - future versions will be coming in a few months and are usually painted. Click here to see if the retro-looking Kenner-esque figure is still available.
Via the Star Wars Galactic Hunter Figure of the Day Blog: Viper Probe Droid (Droid Factory / Disney). It's smaller than previous Kenner and Hasbro molds, but the detailing is really good and according to some reference sources, the smaller size is more accurate to The Empire Strikes Back too. But it's Thanksgiving, you're not reading toy reviews. Read on!

Via the Star Wars Galactic Hunter Figure of the Day Blog: Boba Fett (and Bossk, The Retro Collection). It's a rerelease of a remake, with a couple of subtle differences that may just be batch variations - but hey, he holds his gun better, isn't that worth a look? Also Amazon has him in stock as I write this, but you came to know if it's any good. Read on for the full review!
This week in Q&A - Prices and new lines! Are you changing your focus now that The Vintage Collection basic figures are $17-$23? How about vehicles? And Where are those missing figures? Uh... we don't know.

Via the Star Wars Galactic Hunter Figure of the Day Blog: Bossk (and Boba Fett, The Retro Collection). He's just different enough to make you happy? He looks a teeny tiny bit different from the original 1980s toy, but has a retooled hand to better hold his blaster and a few minor paint masks changes. The sculpt is less detailed (like all reissues so far), but he'll probably make you happy if you want a figure that hasn't beheld the ravages of age. Read on!

Via the Star Wars Galactic Hunter Figure of the Day Blog: Bespin Security Guard (Isdam Edian, The Vintage Collection). It's Lando parts with a new head and torso, but generally gets the job done. I just wish they actually gave one of the last few vintage figures left to update an original sculpt since the legs look a little weird, as do the cuffs around the sleeves, since they were not intended for this one. Via the Star Wars Galactic Hunter Figure of the Day Blog: Protocol Droid (Holiday Edition, The Black Series). This candy cane-ish robot has a green scarf and other highlights, plus a tiny BD droid buddy which makes the lightly higher price tag sting less than other, no-buddy repaint exclusives in recent years. Via the Star Wars Galactic Hunter Figure of the Day Blog: R2-SHW (Antoc Merrick's Astromech Droid, The Vintage Collection). Nice droid, not so nice price - it's $17 for a repaint of a $10 R2-D2, and a lot of the accessories are left out. It's a bit ridiculous, but if you want this droid for the X-Wing droid socket, this is your option. He's also a little short for the socket, which is part of a toy vehicle that has been in circulation and retooled since 1998. At least they painted the droid nicely. Read on!
