Does that headline make any sense? I hope so. While looking at Thingiverse, I saw a listing for a free file so you can print a Star Wars Ghost - Phantom 1 adapter. When the HasLab project was revealed I asked if there was any way Hasbro could dock the older shuttle from the original cartoon and was told no - apparently, the answer is actually "yes." It looks like for pennies, we could have had a means to dock the existing ship with our new massive freighters.
Apparently it is just that easy.
Via the Star Wars Galactic Hunter Figure of the Day Blog: Tessek (The Vintage Collection). It's a pretty good figure - the arms are mostly from Bib Fortuna, the head is new, the colors are pretty good, but I still like my Power of the Jedi Tessek just fine. If you need more articulation and cloth bits? Get this one. If you're happy with the one you've got? You're all set. Read on!
Via the Star Wars Galactic Hunter Figure of the Day Blog: Taym Dren-Garen (The Vintage Collection). I can't believe he exists, either - the retool (!) looks just like the human actor (!!) and it's a great addition to that shelf of minor characters that has been growing very slowly over the past decades. Also he's long sold out... but a good figure, if you can find one. Read on!
Via the Star Wars Galactic Hunter Figure of the Day Blog: Anakin Skywalker (Flashback/Dream Sequence, The Vintage Collection). It's a pretty good figure - and something of an improvement over the "realistic" take on the costume from over a decade ago. You can see how far sculpting and painting have come in 13 years, but your memory of the old one might be that it's fine, and therefore, not worth replacing. If you got $17 to burn this is a pretty nice figure, though. Read on!
Ad: More newness! Synergy arrives with Daredevil: Born Again Marvel Legends Series Daredevil 6-Inch Action Figure, and other new items like Star Wars The Vintage Collection Momaw Nadon Deluxe 3 3/4-Inch Action Figure and Star Wars The Black Series Cassian Andor (Sienar Test Pilot) 6-Inch Action Figure should be of interest.
Via the Star Wars Galactic Hunter Figure of the Day Blog: Dedra Meero (The Vintage Collection). This is a good figure and should tie nicely into Andor, should she still be available when it airs. The articulation is good, the sculpting is nice, and she doesn't look too much like any other ISB agents you may already own. Read on!
Via the Star Wars Galactic Hunter Figure of the Day Blog: HK-87 Assassin Droid (Arcana, The Vintage Collection). While a redeco, it also loses an accessory from the previous release - there's no blaster this time. But it's still an awesome droid based on 20th-century concept art, so you're probably going to be glad that you got one. Read on!
Via the Star Wars Galactic Hunter Figure of the Day Blog: Mae (Assassin, The Retro Collection). This figure answers the question "Does Hasbro still got it?" with a "Yes." She has optional masks, a cloth cloak, two daggers, incredible costume deco, an amazing likeness, and a well separately molded hair piece. Given the size Hasbro is working with I'd say this figure is as good as the modern era can be expected to get - and you might, maybe, find her in a store near you as The Acolyte stuff has been slower to move. If you see her, you should give this figure a look - it's good. Read on!
Via the Star Wars Galactic Hunter Figure of the Day Blog: Luke Skywalker (The Vintage Collection). It's the first new version of this specific Luke at this size in years - it's been over a decade since he was in The Vintage Collection as a single-carded figure. Heck, the last best version was in a The Legacy Collection Battle Pack, so you're going to be pretty happy with this very good upgrade. Also exciting, it's a character from the movie called Star Wars, of which there are annoyingly few these days. Read on!
Ad: New Hasbro Star Wars: The Black Series and Star Wars: The Vintage Collection Action Figures are now up for pre-order! Captain Rex, Shin Hati, Clones, Mandalorians, and Jedi are up for grabs - go get yours!
Via the Star Wars Galactic Hunter Figure of the Day Blog: Grogu (The Armorer's Forge, The Vintage Collection) . While not much of a figure - and technically, an accessory - he's interesting. He actually has a a unique torso with a new torso with the beskar armor, rather than another unadorned brown potato sack. I wouldn't say it's necessarily worth paying $60 for the figure, but with the playset and the Armorer, at least it's unique and different from the many Grogu toys you may already own. I am kind of surprised we haven't gotten a lot more variations of Grogu - him eating, playing, or what have you - as accessories to other toys. As such, it's neat to see something like this. Read on!
The Hasbro Star Wars Fanstream for January 2025 is live and it's... a lot more of the same stuff you may already own, but slightly different. There were new reveals for The Vintage Collection and The Black Series, but nothing for The Retro Collection or Epic Hero Series at this time.
So for those of you who don't want to spend 31:08 watching a video, what's new?
Via the Star Wars Galactic Hunter Figure of the Day Blog: Jabba the Hutt (Throne Room, The Vintage Collection). This is the third toy to use this sculpt, but he had some surprising modifications (a big vinyl square on the underside) and deco that, depending on your lighting situation, might not look as good as the one you already have. This 2024 release came with Salacious Crumb and 8D8 as well as a seat for the big guy, and it's also probably the only affordable version of this particular mold of the space gangster on the market right now. Read on!
Via the Star Wars Galactic Hunter Figure of the Day Blog: 8D8 (The Vintage Collection). This pack-in figure from Jabba's Palace set is an amazing upgrade - with very little articulation. The last release was in 1998, and this one lacks the light-up eyes or torture rack. He has a lot more paint, though, and looks more on-model. You'll want it, but the $89.99 Jabba set it comes in is kinda pricey. Read on!
Via the Star Wars Galactic Hunter Figure of the Day Blog: Hera Syndulla (The Ghost, The Vintage Collection). She shares the head and hands with the basic carded figure from Ahsoka, as well as the blaster, but pretty much everything else is new. You can't actually buy this figure outside of eBay right now, but she's pretty good and can be crammed in the Phantom vehicle from that set, just barely. Read on!
