Via the Star Wars Galactic Hunter Figure of the Day Blog: BB-8 (Holiday Droid Factory). This Advent Calendar figure is a snowman, and we've had other snowdroids before - but this one has a teeny hat that I am sure is going to be a selling point.
I was delighted to see Hasbro announce a set of figures with Captain Pallaeon, Grand Admiral Thrawn, and Alan Moore letting you know he hates you adapting his stories for movies, but then it was pointed out to me that it was Joruss C'Boath in this new STAR WARS The Vintage Collection STAR WARS: Heir to the Empire Figure 3-Pack for $49.99. It looks good, and other than this being the third more-or-less identical Thrawn figure in a year, I don't mind a Joruus figure.
Also exciting for the N64 generation, the STAR WARS The Black Series Luke Skywalker (Imperial Guard) & Princess Leia Organa (Boushh).
My pal Seth over at Orbitdyne makes a very cool Deluxe Space Bar - Custom 3 3/4" Action Figure Playset to go with 3 3/4-inch action figures. He keeps tweaking them - this one has electronic lights in the bar and bandstand, plus glow-in-the-dark elements. I have an older revision and it's really one of the best things I've got, packed with a mix of old Kenner figures, Super7 ReAction figures, and other odds and ends. Take a look!
He's got a video showing off the features too, and I'd recommend a look. I'd say "makes a great gift" but we all know the back half of that sentence should be "for yourself." Hasbro has yet to announce any vehicles, creatures, or playsets for your The Retro Collection figures to ride or enjoy. There are a lot of great ones being made by fans.
This week in Star Wars Q&A - What can we do for more 3 3/4-inch stuff? Buy what's out there, buy what you like, and don't buy the other stuff you don't want. Also did people really hate the 1995 Classic 4-Pack? Well, some did - but the buzz was that it sold like crazy and today the weirdly-colored blasters, the light tan Chewbacca, and Luke's different shade of yellow make for an interesting variant!
Also, we're out of questions for next week. Send in new questions.

In light of the reveal today, it seemed worth bringing up this 2019 release - an unlicensed figure - from a 2022 entry in my Star Wars Galactic Hunter Figure of the Day Blog: Star Wars Figure of the Day: Han Solo in Stormtrooper Disguise (Custom). It's the Smith Lord Creations release that was going around, and mine has - to put it mildly - imperfect paint. At the time it was the best option available short of making your own custom figure, and it was expensive - and now it looks like Hasbro is going to make something very similar for a fraction of the price. And I hope Hasbro does a lot more like this. If you never saw it before, check out this fan-made figure from a few years ago. Read the old review!
In what is arguably the most important news of the year for Kenner fanatics, Hasbro Pulse revealed six new - well, five new, and a sixth - Kenner Star Wars action figures from the film called Star Wars on social media today.
In this set you'll find the Rebel Fleet Trooper, Han Solo (Imperial Stormtrooper Outfit), Luke Skywalker (Yavin), Walrus Man, Sandtrooper, and Dr. Evazan.
But why, you ask, is this exciting? Let's have a fake Q&A.

Via the Star Wars Galactic Hunter Figure of the Day Blog: X-Wing Pilot (Human Woman, The Vintage Collection) . If you wondered if slapping a new human head of nobody in particular on a Luke body works, it turns out that it does! Hasbro did a nice job making a decent human head, but it's not of any specific performer (as far as I know) and could well be a Hasbro or Lucasfilm employee. But it's a new pilot, and that's what you probably want here. Read on!

This week in Star Wars Q&A - The Joy of Pre-Ordering - or do you prefer to hunt stores? Stores are fun, but is that era over?
Also, we're out of questions for next week. Send in new questions.
And we also have some filler, as this time of year is when nobody has any questions usually. I've started working on some notes for another article which might go up this month.

Via the Star Wars Galactic Hunter Figure of the Day Blog: Paz Vizsla (Amazon Exclusive 3-Pack, Epic Hero Series). This Amazon exclusive comes in a 3-pack with Axe Woves (new) and an unnamed Mandalorian Warrior figure. Paz Vizsla is identical to the Deluxe figure in stores near you - but without the jet pack or firing rocket launcher. You probably don't need both versions, but if you want all figures and all gear, you're going to have both. Read on!
Via the Star Wars Galactic Hunter Figure of the Day Blog: D-0 (Holiday Droid Factory). It's a red repaint that comes in this year's Disney Advent Calendar - and I would say probably the least interesting droid of a pretty good collection for 2024. Read on!
