NOW: Onell Design Glyos Searsden Action Figure

By Adam Pawlus — Sunday, April 28, 2019

UPDATE: Sold out - Onell Design just dropped Searsden, which is presumably a blue-with-silver-boots redeco of Pheyden, in its online shop along with a new RealXHead Pheyaos (in 3 colors) and Knights of the Slice/Toy Pizza Rift Killer Hyper Mordireus - the latter of which is a 3 3/4-inch figure that will fit right in with your old Kenner Mini-Rigs.  Click here to check availability.

ICYMI: Onell Design Glyos Walruden Action Figure

By Adam Pawlus — Thursday, April 18, 2019

It has sold out, but we want to point you to the Onell Design Glyos Walruden anyway.  It's the fourth Kenner Cantina-style figure from the company so far, and I assume we're almost due for the next release.  Read the full review at 16bit.com.

New Glyos Tribute Figure - Walruden!

By Adam Pawlus — Thursday, March 7, 2019

It's up! A new figure based on the Robo-Force mold is just one of several new releases from Onell Design, but the one you care about is Walruden.  It's available now but the final photography is being withheld - you'll see it first when it arrives, and it'll probably be colored just like Walrus Man.  Click here to see what's available.

New Star Wars-Themed Glyos Figure This Week?

By Adam Pawlus — Sunday, March 3, 2019

3700 I'm writing that as a question, but the answer is probably "yes."  Onell Design have been dropping about 1 Kenner-colored tribute figure every month, and we've been looking at the likes of Hammerden, Greeden, and Pheytooth as they come up.  At 9:30 PM EST this Thursday, Onell Design will be releasing new figures. But we don't know which ones yet, because that's a big part of the fun.

(Update 2/5/2019: a comment in that posting from Onell Design confirms the identity of the figure in question. And he doesn't like you.)

ICYMI: Onell Design Glyos Hammerden Action Figures

By Adam Pawlus — Saturday, February 23, 2019

A few weeks ago Onell Design shipped out Hammerden, a Hammerhead-colored take on the Pheyden action figure.  It's pretty cool!  I posted a review here.  It has since sold out, but along with Greeden and Pheytooth it's a pretty swell group of aliens.

Review: Onell Design Glyos Pheytooth

By Adam Pawlus — Wednesday, December 19, 2018

Onell Design has new Glyos-compatible figures every month or so, and the last release had Pheytooth - a Snaggletooth-inspired figure.   I looked at it over at 16bit.com, and figured I may as well share it here.  Previous figures include nods to troopers, Greedo, and even Vlix - so I like these a lot.  Read on!

Onell Design Lists Pheytooth

By Adam Pawlus — Thursday, November 29, 2018

A mysterious figure appeared in the Onell Design release November 29 called "Pheytooth."  It has a red hue on the graphic, and the last mystery figure was green and called Greeden.  And this is a Star Wars site, so it could be anything.  I wouldn't want to hit a snag making the wrong guess, but it's up for grabs now for $11.  Order one, won't you? These tend to be limited to the low hundreds, and while I can't say I know the run here they tend to disappear in a day or three.

16bit.com Figure of the Day - Onell Design Glyos Greeden

By Adam Pawlus — Wednesday, November 28, 2018

Another off-topic figure, but with some news rolled in.  Onell Design will be holding a drop Thursday night at 9:30 PM EST,  with another new figure that might look somewhat similar to this one in terms of tributes to days gone by.

But from last month, take a look at this Greeden - it's Kenner's Greedo colors mixed with Pheyden's design, giving us all a great tribute to a classic alien action figure.  The next one has not yet been announced, and it will be sold as a mystery figure tonight.  Click here to read about Greeden.

Onell Design Announces Mystery "Greeden" Figure

By Adam Pawlus — Thursday, October 25, 2018

3684 I'm a big fan of Onell Design's works. Their indie action figures range from wholly original creations to sly tributes to figures from the past 50 years, and tonight they announced Greeden - a mystery figure.  Previous efforts and comments would indicate it's likely their mascot alien Pheyden, but in Kenner 1979 Greedo colors.  I ordered one, and we'll review it here when it shows up.

16bit.com Figure of the Day - Onell Design Glyos Vlixden

By Adam Pawlus — Wednesday, July 11, 2018

3610 We don't usually post non-Hasbro, non-Star Wars figures but this one was special.  Onell Design and I kicked around a couple of ideas and now you can have an indie figure tribute to Droids Vlix!  It's Vlixden, a $10 3-inch figure going on sale at Onell.store come 9:30 PM EDT tonight.  It's cool - it's Vlix! The special design has the little kerchief and eyebrow, plus the color scheme.  It's not Vlix, but it's the closest and I believe only thing that has come close this century.  I love it.  Read on!

Callgrim: Kenner Boba Fett Edition

By Adam Pawlus — Tuesday, October 18, 2016

Late last year, we saw the release of the RawShark Studios The Order Bobaran Action Figure.  This sold out quickly, and was a $20 3-inch action figure that seems to almost perfectly color match Kenner's original 3 3/4-inch Boba Fett action figure.  And it's pretty cool.

Callgrim New Star Wars-Inspired Bounty Hunter Figures

By Adam Pawlus — Sunday, November 29, 2015

If you collect Glyos-compatible figures, you're probably very interested in Jesse Moore's latest Callgrim assortment.  The Order Bobaran (pictured) is one of four new releases - he's joined by a Firespray Warp Bike, Callgrim Trando (looks like Bossk), and Callgrim Eyegee (looks like IG-88).   If you're in to these, the 3-inch figures are quite nice and pop apart for your customizing pleasure.  I've got a few of these and quite like them - and I just ordered a few more.  Click here to see what's still available.

C2E2 Exclusive Kabuto Mushi Calls on Boba Fett

By Adam Pawlus — Tuesday, April 14, 2015

If you like designer toys - and I know you do - you'll want to visit the Glyos News Dump blog for a post I wrote called " C2E2 The Godbeast C2E2 2015 Offerings."   A limited run of figures nodding to things you know and love will be on sale from Marty "The Godbeast" Hansen at the Nerd City booth.  He does great stuff, and I've picked up some of his other offerings over the years.
