Just in case your news feeds weren't beating you to death with it - in which case, good for you for avoiding the algorhythm - Andor kicked off its second season tonight with three episodes. We'll be getting three new episodes weekly until all twelve are up.
No spoilers: I just watched the first one and had a great time. You can almost hear the writers cackling in the background, almost as loudly as the toy collectors will be complaining about the lack of toys (not collectibles, toys) for this one. There's a vehicle you'll see and go "Oh man, I want a Retro/Vintage/Black Series/Micro Galaxy Squadron of that!" There are fun and in some cases goofy characters that, sadly, will most likely not become plastic in this era of adult collectibles. Now that I've finished dinner I'm going to go check out the second one.
Also don't forget Light & Magic season 2 is up as well - there are three episodes.
Ad: Andor returns tonight, so it seems like a good time to get the Star Wars The Black Series Death Trooper Helmet Prop Replica out there! With electronic lights and sounds, this full-head helmet looks amazing.
Via the Star Wars Galactic Hunter Figure of the Day Blog: Dark Trooper (Epic World of Action). I haven't seen it in a store myself yet, but if you do? You should get one. It's big, it's sturdy, it's cheap, and the paint on the figure is very good. I am not crazy about both the blaster and blast effect being clear red, but it's still pretty excellent. Read on!
Deadline reports ‘Star Wars’ Series In Works From Carlton Cuse & Nick Cuse. What do we know about it so far? ...pretty much just that. Carlton Cuse worked on Lost and Nick Cuse worked on that very entertaining Watchmen show.
The other small screen efforts known/believed to be coming are Ahsoka season 2 (presumably 2026 or 2027), Andor season 2 (tomorrow), and Darth Maul Shadow Lord (2026.)
This week in Star Wars Q&A - Articulation? It's improving in the kid line, but the kid line probably won't have more collector characters. Bags! Should we explore Kenner/Hasbro baggie packaging again?
Also don't forget Andor Season 2 starts Tuesday, and in theory Target will have that Retro Collection 6-pack on its way to you by this time next week (if not in-hand.) Hey, at least it's a good present. Who knows about the future?

In addition to some new toys, Lucasfilm actually had some new shows to announce.
Light & Magic Season 2 is on Disney+ right now. Three episodes were added, letting you watch ILM's days in the digital era. Season 1 focused on the early days.
Andor Season 2 streams April 22, 2025. That's Tuesday!
Season 3 of Young Jedi Adventures is coming this Fall. There are no more Hasbro products planned for this show.
Star Wars Visions - Season 3 is due October 29, 2025.
Darth Maul: Shadow Lord is the next big cartoon. It's due in 2026 and will follow Maul after The Clone Wars but before his rematch with Kenobi on Rebels.
The Mandalorian and Grogu movie hits theaters May 26, 2026.
Star Wars: Visions Presents – The Ninth Jedi is a new anime series based on the Star Wars: Visions episode. It should be out at some point in 2026.
Ahsoka Season 2 is in the works now, and has no release date given. 2026 or 2027 seems likely.
Star Wars Celebration is in Los Angeles for the first time since 2007 and will take place in 2027. (The article has an error and says it was last in LA in 2006.)
Star Wars: Starfighter is a new movie starring Ryan Gosling and directed by Shawn Levy. It takes place five years after The Rise of Skywalker and is expected in theaters May 28, 2027.
Ad: A lot of new Hasbro pre-orders are live! Grab Star Wars The Black Series Han Solo 6-Inch Action Figure, Star Wars The Vintage Collection 3 3/4-Inch Nightsister Merrin Action Figure, and more!
Also, buy yourself Star Wars The Retro Collection Return of the Jedi 3 3/4-Inch Action Figures. It's got Yak Face.
If that weren't enough, check out new Superman and other action figures.
Hasbro is dripping out a lot of reveals with Celebration Japan! At a panel, they revealed The Vintage Collection Crosshair as well as a smattering of characters from The Black Series. Dash Rendar, Nightsister Merrin, a Cal Kestis/Turgle/Skoova Stev set, and others should be up for pre-order in just a few hours.
Also exciting is a Gizmodo piece with 3 new reveals. A new Bantha for The Vintage Collection will be going to Pulse/Disney, and it has a mouth that opens with visible teeth! That's new!
A de-armored Cobb Vanth for The Vintage Collection image is also making the rounds, as well as a Rocket Trooper - another Stormtrooper variant from Jedi Survivor. You'll also see Moff Gideon (Dark Trooper Armor).
The Shawn Levy movie has been revealed and it's Star Wars: Starfighter. It takes place five years after the final sequel movie The Rise of Skywalker. There's not much else to go on yet, so presumably we're in some sort of post-First Order/One Order remnant situation. Or pirates?
It starts production this fall.
If there are any legacy characters in it, I have not yet seen the announcement.
Via the Star Wars Galactic Hunter Figure of the Day Blog: Hasbro do that Grogu (The Book of Boba Fett, The Retro Collection) that they do so well!
This is a pretty clever idea for a product. It's a reissue of the obscure Kenner Dagoah training backpack, with a reissue of "The Child" and a frog from 2021. Since the wave never hit mass market retailers it can be tough to say if it sold well or not, but I rarely saw them on closeout shelves and odds are a lot of fans might want it just for the backpack. I think it's worth getting, but I generally like all of these a fair amount. Also I believe this is my last unreviewed Retro figure until the red dot ships their exclusive set around the end of the month. Read on!
Via the Star Wars Galactic Hunter Figure of the Day Blog: Velken Tezeri (The Vintage Collection). The 2023 figure is the first - and likely only - incarnation we get of this guy. I'm delighted and amazed Hasbro did him at all, given the obscurity. Read on!
This week in Star Wars Q&A - New Landspeeder? Why are they packing in a deluxe figure? Why are we getting redundant figures? Par for the course. What's up with tariffs? Who knows?
Also, we're out of questions for next week. Send in new questions.

Over on eBay, The Cardboard Galaxy has some new (and new-to-me) stuff I was thinking about picking up. I assume this means you'll want them, too. And as I am part of the eBay affiliate program, these are affiliate links, so feel free to click often and buy things.
The Retro Death Star Figure Display Multilevel Playset is listed as being DETOLF-sized and looks like a mishmash of Kenner art from before 1980. It's pretty gorgeous, there's even a Millenniun Falcon painting in there. It's $50.
An upgrade set, the TVC Streets of Mos Eisley Accessory Set Backroom Base Arch Insert goes with the just-released Mos Eisley set. It adds a floor, some scenery, and a whole room. It looks like you can configure it a few different ways, which makes me think I need one and a couple more of Hasbro's set.
Head over to Instagram and check out Fantha Tracks' post on a new action figure set. The Book of Boba Fett collection will be coming to Disney parks soon, and includes R5-R4 (drinks), R0-1N6 (drums), GS-C1B, and JZR-T (salads and go.) There are several photos so be sure to page through the gallery as you take bets on if they are holding it for May 4 or if it will go up sooner.
Via the Star Wars Galactic Hunter Figure of the Day Blog: Yoda (Epic World of Action). I got mine online, and I hope you'll see it in stores. For $8 you get Hasbro's best prequel-era Yoda figure yet, with excellent articulation and three good accessories. The lightsaber is no surprise, the Sith energy thing is pretty cool... but a tiny clear green Starfighter? Now that's impressive.
The 2025 figure has those ball-ish shoulders you love, plus swivel wrists. If you only buy one figure from this particular range of figures, it should be Yoda. The other figures in the wave have more articulation and features, but only Yoda has a tiny ship. Read on!
