Hasbro's Star Wars The Vintage Collection Razor Crest smashed its goal in a day, and has sold 19,997 at press time. The $349.99 vehicle is currently set to include three 3 3/4-inch scale action figures, four Carbonite blocks, removable panels, escape pods, blasters, and a toilet.
A new mold! You didn't ask for it, but instead of just a straight repaint the Clone Trooper (Kamino, The Black Series 6-Inch) is entirely new - and in some cases better, and in some cases not. The limbs no longer have visible pins, which is good - but the elbow and knee armor is a little strange now that it's a separate rubbery piece. The helmet is an actual helmet with a slug head underneath too, leading to some misshapen helmets. Read on!
Complete with signet and jet pack, The Mandalorian (Beskar Armor, The Black Series 6-Inch) matches his look at the end of season one and, so far, the beginning of season two. It's a retool of the first figure from 2019, but there's enough different that you're going to want one. Read on!
Sold in both 40th anniversary packaging and the new standard The Black Series boxes, Darth Vader (The Black Series 6-Inch) is partially new parts and partially old parts from a few years ago. No respect, I swear. Read on!
If you like repaints with extra guns, this Heavy Battle Droid (Gaming Greats, The Black Series 6-Inch) is perfect. Complete with Imperial and First Order tech, this uniquely painted Trade Federation trooper is just a little bit more interesting than your average droid. And as a GameStop exclusive, it's sold out unless they somehow find more in a bin somewhere. Read on!
A mishmash of droid parts, the BB-Series Droid (BB-8-style droid, black and silver body, black and silver head) adds the black repaint you know you want in your stash. Presumably. Black repaints of robots are a proud tradition and a sub-collection you'll find in many other toy lines, but are generally found overseas. Read on!
Now disappearing from Target is this exclusive BB-Series Droid (BB-9-style droid, red and silver body, white and red head) as part of a two-pack. It's cool! It's small. But it's not delicious - it may look like fruit, but it's a robot. Don't make the same mistake as some guy I just made up. Read on!

Available in 40th anniversary packaging or in a 2-pack with Yoda, this Luke Skywalker (Dagobah, The Black Series 6-Inch) is a good one. The articulation is well-integrated, the accessories are well-selected, and the price of the two-pack is, well, high. Read on!
It's a R2-Series Astromech Droid (R2-Series silver dome with purple, white body with purple, bartender)! Why? No idea. This makes four flavors of drink droid, and as far as I know this one has no precedent in the movies, cartoons, comics, or games. Read on!
Admiral Ackbar! This is the second version of him in the 6-inch range, the first being a sequel-based Toys R Us exclusive that seems to share parts with this one. I wonder how long Hasbro had this one in the works? It's cool - but has some weird leg stripe alignment issues and lacks the baton all the older fans wish were there as a nod to Kenner's original. Today Target.com listed Star Wars The Black Series Commander Pyre and Star Wars The Black Series R5-P8! Commander Pyre is a rerelease of the figure sold at the theme parks last year (see Commander Pyre, FOTD #2,622) and looks largely the same. The multi-pack at Disney parks also included a MSE droid. R5-P8 is a debut - and the 6-inch scale action figures are supposedly hitting stores on Sunday.
Whatever you think he comes from, the design docs make sure Imperial Stormtrooper (The Mandalorian/Rogue One, The Black Series 6-Inch) covers a couple of bases. It's a new mold! There's.... an unfinished head under the helmet? The articulation is closer to that of a very good 3 3/4-inch figure. And you will want dozens. Read on!
