Marjorie and Arnie are back in the Sithsonian this week with another Star Wars Action News podcast, and they bring tidings from the Pacific Northwest...tidings, and toys that is! Thanks to the Star Wars collectors of SARLACC a number of unique and rare Star Wars items were seen, from Star Wars pinball machines to arcade games, bootleg items, and more, including a tour of Gus Lopez's impressive array of Star Wars props and prototypes.
Hasbro's Star Wars action figure line has a long history of including "bonus" pack-ins with each figure: Freeze Frames, 3-D dioramas, Commtech Chips, Force Files, display stands, mini-hologram figures, collector coins, weapons lockers, and most recently...battle cards and battle dice.
So how new is that 2012 Vintage Darth Vader? New enough for you, old man. Should you expect more action figure reissues in light of the recent remakes? Maybe! Sideshow has posted a slew of photos of their Celebration VI Commander Ganch. This highly limited Sixth Scale figure, based on the the Tom Hodges Clone Wars comic series from Dark Horse, will be sold at the Celebration store beginning August 23rd with limited quantities to be made available at SideshowCollectibles.com shortly after the show concludes.
