So, is it time to expect that Z-95 Headhunter? I'm gonna say probably not. What's up with Canada getting an exclusive Yoda variation? And should we wait for vintage updates of certain figures, or is there already a great alternative to be had? All this and Shuttles in this week's Q&A!
There's finally some break through after a few months of a devil's existence and lingering TPM Wave 1's as Wal-Mart is receiving shipments of Vintage Wave 4 with Dr. Evazan, Aayla Secura, and Kithaba.
The biggest chatter of the year comes from Florida, where Droid Factory is being deployed at Disney Hollywood Studios. You can build your own Astromech Droid, but what does the whole set-up look like? Our pal Chuck sent us some awesome images over teh Twitter, and you can click through to see them (and follow him) after the break.
From our sponsors at Brian's Toys: Collectors should take notice of the Vintage 12-Back Palitoy Star Wars figures, AFA-graded and in stock over at Brian's Toys! This selection features hard-to-find figures (from Han Solo Small Head to Sand People) that would make a great addition to anyone's growing collection.
Our sponsors at BigBadToyStore have announced pre-orders for the upcoming Kotobukiya ARTFX+ 1:10 Scale Statue Boba Fett (ROTJ Version).
Gentle Giant releases their solicititations for Star Wars items slated in the 4th Quarter. Yoda joins the Jumbo Vintage line-up and looks fantastic with Gentle Giant closely replicating the soft goods material of the original Kenner figure. An orange snake version is planned for general release while a brown snake variant is scheduled to be a Premier Guild exclusive.
First up, one of our pals on Twitter tweeted us last night that the Star Tours Astromech Droids would run about $12.95 each, or 2 for $18.95. This article shows more pictures of retooled heads and other changes, and the claim that only the R6, R8, and R9 heads are exclusive is something of a half-truth-- remember, the R5 droids appear to have no antennas this time around, plus all the droids have holes in their head.
Maul and Savage collide with a team of mercenaries in Death Sentence #2! In Knight Errant - Escape #3, the location of a powerful Sith relic is closer to being uncovered and so is the fate of Jedi Kerra Holt's lost family. All this and more Dark Horse titles for August!
Here is the latest from our sponsors at http://www.bigbadtoystore.com about a ton of cool new preorders as well as more new arrivals. These include new Star Wars giclees and Sideshow's "I am Your Father" diorama.
The next issue of the Star Wars Insider (#135) celebrates 30 years of Star Wars video games and features Darth Vader set against the iconic Atari Star Wars vector graphics arcade game.
Far less interesting than the rest of today's news, this is a Clone Trooper exclusive from 2005 when the black splotches were the coolest battle damage on a Clone yet. How does it hold up 2,000 years later?
About 20 domes, 10 bodies, and a whole mess of droids were posted to the Star Tours Facebook page. To date this is the clearest shot of the robots, which gives us a look at the various Mickey Mouse ears, confirmation that Goofy's hat does indeed sport ears, and, of course, this isn't everything. Other hats, like a very Jack Sparrow-looking pirate hat, were shown in previous preview images so it's a pretty safe bet what you're seeing here isn't the entire line.
