Sci-fi supersite io9 posted a preview of a new 6-inch The Black Series Rey's Speeder! This sizable, $60 vehicle should be out later this year and will undoubtedly be on display in Orlando at Star Wars Celebration this weekend.
New Galactic Heroes! Hasbro was kind enough to send along some of their NYCC reveals. New York Comic Con has a press event running alongside the show. Unmasked Kylo Ren vs. Rey, Chewbacca vs. First Order TIE Pilot, and an AT-AT were show! There are big weapons, clever gimmicks, and bigger, jointed figures that you probably previously also saw as Jedi Force a few years ago. More pictures after the jump? Sure! But you can also see all of this stuff on our Tumblr. Follow us there for more!
Skunk ape? Balding ape? Varmik? It's the Hassk Thug, a McQuarrie-inspired triplet which is one of very few denizens of the castle on Takodana to get a figure. It's one of those things fans need to start demanding, like a Lin-Manuel Miranda for some reason or another. Anyway, how is he? I'd say get one, but read on to see what I wrote in the review.
We're back - but not every day! I gotta sleep once in a while. Let's look at the nifty Kylo Ren Unmasked, released earlier this year and unlikely to be at a store near you. He was popular. He's also more than an old body with a new head - Hasbro did the work on this one.
If you loved The Force Awakens but not so much that you actually bought it, there's something coming for you in November. StarWars.com just announced Star Wars: The Force Awakens 3D Collector’s Edition which, depending on where you live, could be out in October or November. Four discs with tons of bonus content could be yours.
Hasbro unveils Black Series awesomeness for the 2016 Summer Conventions. A TBS 6 inch series Kylo Ren will be offered at Celebration Europe at the Forbidden Planet booth while a TBS 6 inch Obi-Wan Kenobi pack will be at the Hasbro booth at San Diego Comic-Con! Read on for more!
Ad: If you need new figures, and you do, check out 13 new Funko Pop! Star Wars figures at Entertainment Earth. Due in July and August, these figures include new versions of Luke Skywalker and Leia from The Force Awakens as well as the first-ever Bespin Luke, Yoda, and many others. Rey is here, complete with lightsaber. You won't want to miss them, so give them a look!
New from Gentle Giant! Just announced today, the Star Wars: The Force Awakens Kylo Ren Mini Bus is up for pre-order right now. Due Q1 2017, this mighty bust has the costume as seen in last year's movie complete with a lightsaber. You can pre-order yours at Entertainment Earth with free shipping in the USA.
She's out! Kmart's Rey (Starkiller Base) 6-inch The Black Series action figure is making the rounds and is being placed on shelves as I write this. Might your one or two remaining stores have them? You'll have to go look, because the product finder on their web site isn't working properly. Each figure is $24.99, assuming of course you find one. I located one at one of the final Mart of K outposts in Phoenix, AZ this afternoon.
We'll be tackling these - or at least one of these - in Figure of the Day very soon, but it seemed prudent to give you the lowdown on this awesome gift set now just in case you were waffling over buying it or just a couple of single figures. This 4-pack costs less than 3 individual figures at most stores, plus sports one exclusive figure and accessories to boot. When you see the Takodana Encounter you'll say "Octopus, right?" (I think that's what it is, I never took Japanese.)
If you like you can order this item at our sponsor Entertainment Earth or on Amazon.com.
This action figure set comes in a box that's pretty much the same size and shape as last year's "Digital Release" boxed sets for all six films - on a shelf, this would look very nice next to them. In it you'll find Finn (repack of individual figure), Rey (repack of individual figure), BB-8 (the Scavengers version), and Maz Kanata (new). The two "combine weapons" are gone, but instead you'll find a lightsaber hilt, a lightsaber, and a trunk - the perfect place to store your priceless religious heirlooms in the basement of a bar. In short: you'll be wanting one.
Want to be a part of the Hasbro booth at Comic-Con this year? Here's your chance! Hasbro sent along some new information to us today regarding taking some fan photos, and sharing them with the rest of the world in San Diego come July. Want to know the full details? Or better yet, want to participate? Keep reading. Update: background photos are now available.
Hey, it's Constable Zuvio! He has a magnificent paint job on his armor, and we know absolutely nothing about him in the movie yet. Well. With that, I'm taking a FOTD break because I actually would like to see the movie before commenting any more on these - so read on, for what it's worth.
Here it is - again! The 6-inch Kmart exclusive Kylo Ren (Starkiller Base) is in stock as of my writing this - you can get it picked up at stores for free, or get it shipped. It's $5 more than the regular version, but sports unique deco on the feet, a base, different hands, and a different lightsaber. I just ordered mine - if you want one, click here to check availability.
Update: Don't use Paypal on the Kmart.com web site right now, as it seems to be causing problems.
Arguably the figure of the season, the 6-inch Captain Phasma is the one your pals want and can't find - I haven't seen her in stores personally yet, but her wave mates? You'll see those. She's pretty much exactly as good as you might expect from this line, so read on!
Elite! The red-striped First Order TIE Fighter Pilot is the only 6-inch TIE Pilot from the new movie you can own today - but the non-striped version is up for pre-order at fine toy stores everywhere. This one, however, comes with a TIE Fighter with wings so tall they can black out the sun. Read on!
