The great Philip Reed has a new book coming! Collect These Figures & Accessories, Star Wars Newspaper Ads is on its way to being funded. I have some of his other books - I've even looked over an early draft or two when he was kind enough to share - and I can say he does great work. Take a look at this one.
The H.P. Lovecraft-inspired Legends of Cthulhu Retro Action Figure Toy Line ends on Kickstarter in a few hours - and includes Mr. Lovecraft as a stretch goal. The 3 3/4-inch action figures from Warpo Toys are designed to look like a product of the late 1970s and early 1980s, down to the packaging painting. If you've been following ReAction, or Bif Bang Pow!'s Twilight Zone, or Zica's Six Million Dollar Man, they're like that. And if you don't know what any of this means, think Kenner 1978.
If you've been involved in toy fandom, the hand-made toy field, or have watched cable TV, there's a chance you might be familiar with the "bootlegger" known as the Sucklord or his brand name, Suckadelic. What he makes are generally art pieces and are wildly not appropriate for the kiddies, but older folks might be interested in his latest product - a Kickstarter-supported, mass-produced, and already at the goal line of mini-figures called S.U.C.K.L.E., or Simply Unimportant Collectable Kitschy Little Eyesores, sculpted by George Gaspar of October Toys fame.
