Today at Star Wars Celebration, they announced a whopping three new movies. Reporting varies and some things aren't necessarily corroborated, but StarWars.com posted SWCE 2023: Three New Star Wars Movies Announced. (And don't worry, I'll be collecting all this stuff for ASWN so you can skim it later.)
One movie takes place 25,000 years before the trilogies. One takes place in the Mando timeframe. The other takes Rey a few years after The Rise of Skywalker, and there have been some interesting rumors going around about who may join her in that one. Absolutely no titles, dates, or other than Daisy Ridley specific on-screen talent were named.
From the article:
If you were planning on going to Star Wars Celebration Anaheim in August... don't. The convention posted an announcement confirming what you assumed - that the convention in two months is just not a viable thing this year. Refunds or transfers are available if you bought a ticket, and if you didn't buy a ticket, keep up doing what you're doing.
Back in 2013 Hasbro released the very first 6-inch The Black Series figures to mixed reviews - they were great, but a lot of fans opted out and that lead to cheap clearance prices on Amazon within a few months. Fast-forward to today, and people are upset they missed a few of those early figures. Hasbro is reissuing X-Wing Pilot Luke Skywalker for Star Wars Celebration this weekend, and there's a big process about how to line up to get yours.
A page of exclusive merchandise from this year's Star Wars Celebration is up for the peeking. It's packed with t-shirts, but also some plush items, hats, pins, and barware. It's worth a peek, if nothing else to see what a hybrid of BB-8 and an orange might look like. Click here for more.
Via Twitter - the anniversary gets missed by a month, but at least there's a party:

Why pay for a hotel when you can go to Celebration VII free while you're at work?
StarWars.com updated with a feature explaining that you can watch a number of panels live from your computer. Or if you're one of the very young and hip, your "phone." Obviously you're denied the exclusives, the costumes, the lines, and new adventures in what qualifies as food, but you can see some of the fun at home. (Memo to Comic-Con in San Diego: copy this.)
Lucasfilm announces that Star Wars Rebels executive producer Dave Filoni will be attending Star Wars Celebration 2015 in Anaheim (April 16-19, 2015). The ultimate Star Wars party will also see the return of Gus Lopez's Collecting Track and those wonderful Star Tots. Be sure to read the full update here as there are some important deadline reminders.
Lucasfilm officially announces the location and date of the next Star Wars Celebration, and they're keeping it local and in the family. Star Wars Celebration VII will be held in Anaheim, California from April 16-19, 2015. The event is timed with the release of Episode VII.
