Guess what - next week your sneak preview figure goes up for sale in San Diego! It's today's Figure of the Day. Read about Stormtrooper (First Order) right now, or don't. It comes in a neat slipcase with a booklet hidden in the back. I've got many pictures for you if you read on!
My pal who I will call Juan Nonymous sent along sample shots of the Jabba's Rancor Pit gift set Jabba the Hutt in comparison with the 2010 model from Walmart. This new-for-2015 version is a 100% new mold with new deco, meaning it is... say it with me...
"Just different enough to make you mad." Well, not Jabba, Jabba's new and interesting. The rest of the set is as interesting as your collection isn't - it's great stuff if you don't got it yet. This set will be sold at the Entertainment Earth Booth at Comic-Con next week, on Toys R Us.com, and probably retail stores too. Want to see more images? Check after the jump.
Funko posted another update! Matte Black Darth Vader is the next Comic-Con exclusive Hikari Vinyl Figure, and it looks great. It's a limited edition of 1,200 pieces.

It's wordy, and only available on the Comic-Con International show floor. The Star Wars Darth Vader Hologram Limited Edition 20-Inch Action Figure has electronic lights in the box and is basically the same size as the projection on General Veers' AT-AT's dashboard. It will be $59.99 and limited to the show floor - no online sales are being made so if you want one, you're going to need to start driving to San Diego or bribing your friends who are going to the show. It will be sold at booth #2343 via Entertainment Earth.
Funko updated their blog with San Diego Comic-Con Exclusives: Wave Five! Two Star Wars items appear: Pop! Star Wars: Chrome C-3PO Gold and Hikari: Star Wars - 501st Clone Trooper.

EW, girl, EW. Over at Entertainment Weekly, you can read the descriptively titled article Check out an exclusive look at the first toys from Star Wars: The Force Awakens. It gives you a look at the $25 Black Series debut Stormtrooper as well as Mattel's Hot Wheels car and a LEGO buildable figure.
Funko does a lot of exclusives for Comic-Con. I mean, tons - back before the Pop! Vinyl days, they loaded their booth with pop art-inspired and metallic repaints of gorgeous bobble heads. Now they've got other brands, and they do an obscene variety of exclusives like Hikari Vinyl Figures Infrared Boba Fett. There are 1,000, it'll probably be around $80, and best of luck to you all.
If you missed it - and you probably did - HotWheelsCollectors.com will put the Hot Wheels Star Wars Darth Vader Vehicle up at 9:00 AM Pacific for $39.99, plus a few other items. This is similar to the one for $3.49 at Target, Toys R Us, and Walmart but has slightly different deco and swell packaging based on the lightsaber hilt from the movies along with electronic lights and sounds. Gentle Giant is now offering some of their Comic-Con 2014 Convention exclusives online, including their Jek Porkins Minibust and Jumbo Vinttage AT-AT Driver. Quantities are limited so don't hesitate to place your order! Click here to shop.
The Lucasfilm Pavilion was a plethora of activity as usual at Comic-Con, and while Disney-Lucas is reportedly planning on "thinning the herd" for their licensors, that doesn't appear to be the case yet. The focal point was on Disney XD's soon to be televised Star Wars Rebels series. Traditional exhibitors such as Her Universe, eFX, and Hallmark showed their latest and greatest. The Yoda puppet replica from eFX looks amazingly accurate and Hallmark, as usual, sells out of their convention exclusives, but gave a sneak peek of this year's Keepsake collectibles. New licensors such as Peavey with their awesome new Star Wars guitars, Vans, and Jakks with their jumbo plastic figures also were present.
With Hot Toys' announcement of their new 1/6 and 1/4 scale license, it will be interesting to see what direction in both product and quality Sideshow will be pursuing. They certainly make a strong case by continuing a formidable representation of Sixth Scale figures like the upcoming Sixth Scale X-Wing Luke and Arc Trooper. The new Premium Format Boba Fett also looks fantastic with its more action oriented stature as opposed to the version released a few years earlier.
