Hasbro adds new goods in the booth after the presentation including the Walmart Discover The Force wave based themed with Episode I figures and comes with 3D glasses. Also added are the new Movie Heroes assortment that features characters from all movies, some with brand new sculpts and most with electronic action features. There's a small update in the Hasbro booth this morning with carded Vintage Collection Amidala, Ben Quadrinaros, and the new Movie Heroes Obi-Wan Kenobi, which comes with a light up lightsaber and packaged in the new blue Maul packaging. New York Comic-Con is underway and we've posted some highlight photos from the Hasbro booth. The Phantom Menace is clearly the main theme, with Podracers, a Podracer multipack, and not to mention the Darth Maul package branding prevalently on display. Vintage does continue with a new cardback paying homage to the classic Kenner 12 backs. There's something big under a black blanket that we can't wait for Hasbro to reveal later in the show.
Hasbro threw a Preview Night Party last night for New York Comic-Con and offered some tidbits of what's to come later this evening. In their Star Wars room, the H people showed the already seen ROTJ sandstorm deleted scene figures, a new play concept showcasing half inch scale cutsie figurines and vehicles called Battle Pods, and in what is sure to cause some consternment from adult collectors but play appeal for the kiddies; the return of the "action feature". Shown were the upcoming Qui-Gon Jin and Obi-Wan Kenobi action figures with light up lightsabers for the upcoming TPM 3D release assortment.

They introduced a 1/10 scale version in 2009 that features a tad more poseability in swappable parts, yet doesn't sacrifice on the detail.
(NEW YORK, NY) LEGO held their annual Toy Fair media event this year and unveiled some great new sets slated for release this fall. The larger sets this year include an all-new Millennium Falcon and Republic Frigate. Fans of The Clone Wars mini-series can now also collect the first ever Savage Opress mini figure that is included with the new Sith Nightspeeder.
Our Toy Fair coverage continues with photos from the LEGO press event this morning. A few awesome sets are slated for the fall including a Sith Nightspeeder with Savage Opress minifig, Republic Frigate, and Millennium Falcon. Guests were also given a limited edition LEGO Star Wars miniland boxed set of Han Solo and Chewbacca. These figures are the actual design and scale that will be displayed in the forthcoming LEGOLAND attraction.

After failing twice in their early online registration process, Comic-Con organizers attempt a trial run this morning by registering 1000 registrants using what is expected to be a more robust system by company TicketLeap. Last month, the online registration site was overwhelmed by a reported 250 hits a second, which was three times the volume in 2009.
