The new Black Series premieres in fantastic fashion with two of the more iconic characters of the Original Trilogy (who will also reportedly star in their own stand alone spinoff films in 2016 and 2018). Presenting Hasbro loose and packaged photos of the hotly anticipated Comic-Con 2013 exclusive Black Series Boba Fett with Han Solo Carbonite. 

Passes for all 4 days of this year's Comic-Con International in San Diego went on sale online this morning at 8 am, and as anticipated, quickly sold out in record time. The event takes place this year from July 12-15 with a Preview Night on Wednesday, July 11th. We'll be there for our annual coverage.

If you want to get the most detail and authenticity out of your collectible figure, then a larger 1/2 scale canvas will extract as much creativity as possible. Sideshow debuted their Legendary scale Darth Maul and Obi-Wan Kenobi, and the results are amazing. The facial features and likeness to Guiness and Park are extraordinary. One, of course, must have ample room in their home to be a "completist", but collecting one to display instantly qualifies it as a collection centerpiece.

We have uploaded photos of all the Japan collectible goodness from Kotobukiya. The centerpiece of their booth are the new R2-D2 and Han Solo Carbonite ice trays that are sure to be a hit for your summer cocktail parties. ActionFigureExpress also offered their SDCC exclusive TFU Stormtrooper Commander 2 Pack at the show.

Attakus will be producing a limited run collection of high end 1/10 scale resin figures that are scheduled to be released this fall. The figures include Darth Vader and an assortment of Clone Troopers amd Stormtroopers. The figures will retail for $111 each and were displayed in the Diamond booth at Comic-con.

The Hasbro exclusive Revenge of the Jedi Death Star Figure set sold out, along with most of the popular Hasbro exclusives, late Saturday. Hasbro even sold the sample that they had displayed in their booth, giving credence to the low production quantities of this exclusive.

Hasbro lead sculptor David Vennemeyer has a few things cooking in his kitchen and shared a few delicacies this afternoon in his portable workshop at the Hasbro booth, including an unpainted shot of what is shaping up to be a nicely articulated Mawhonic and the upcoming TRU exclusive Spider Assassin Droid and her "little babies. Last but certainly not least, that new and upcoming super articulated Battle Droid can be folded up to sit! Take a look!

We mentioned Hasbro's tendency to stagger their reveals during these events. The afternoon after their Comic-Con panel, Hasbro displays their forthcoming The Phantom Menace and ROTJ Deleted Scenes waves slated for release in the beginning of 2012! And these look spectacular! The TPM wave includes Padawan Anakin, Quinlan Vos, Ben Quadrinaros, Ratts Tyerell, Daultay Dofine, and a Naboo Royal Guard, while the ROTJ wave has Deleted Scene Luke, Leia, Lando, General Cracken, and a Mon Calamari Pilot!

Revenge is a dish best served cold, and in Hasbro's case, sometimes repackaged. The Hasbro's Comic-Con panels normally provides good copy and there were a few nice revelations, and this session provided a mixed bag. For whatever it's worth, the Star Wars line is entering a 16th year of modern iteration and most screen characters have been done again and again...and again.

All we can say for the time being is this will BE WELL WORTH while seeing this evening at 7 PM on The Cartoon Network.

We have uploaded photos from the Gentle Giant booth at Comic-Con. The booth is traditionally the center of attention in the Exhibit Hall and this year is no different, with free Bust Ups being thrown randomly out to the crowd and Slave Leias providing a lot of visual appeal and photo opps. This year, Her Universe hosted a fashion show featuring various scantily clad models sporting the latest in Star Wars t-shirt fashion and little else.

The Clone Wars television series Supervising Director Dave Filoni will be at the Hasbro Comic-Con booth (#3213) this Saturday from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm to sign a special edition of the   Star Wars: The Clone Wars, which is designed specifically for the autograph session and free for fans. Hasbro will be distributing a limited number of tickets on a first come first serve basis for fans to participate. The tickets will be distributed Saturday beginning at 9:30 in the Hasbro booth while supplies last.
