Sideshow unveils their upcoming Sixth Scale Darth Maul Duel on Naboo figure that features a fully articulated body, true to character sculpt, and amazing paint detail, not to mention his signature double bladed lightsaber with removable blades. The Sideshow exclusive even comes with an additional battle damaged "severed" lightsaber accessory.

Sideshow releases some photos of their forthcoming Sixth Scale R2-Q5 Imperial Astromech Droid. The black and bronze droid features retractable tripedal treads, hinged panels, and a light up dome feature.

Pre-orders are now being taken for the upcoming Sixth Scale Arc Trooper Echo and Fives in their Phase II Armor. The Sideshow exclusive versions include a base with character themed art. The figures retail for $149.99 each and are expected to ship in June 2015.

With Hot Toys' announcement of their new 1/6 and 1/4 scale license, it will be interesting to see what direction in both product and quality Sideshow will be pursuing. They certainly make a strong case by continuing a formidable representation of Sixth Scale figures like the upcoming Sixth Scale X-Wing Luke and Arc Trooper. The new Premium Format Boba Fett also looks fantastic with its more action oriented stature as opposed to the version released a few years earlier.

Happy Star Wars Day! Sideshow launches their pre-orders for their Sixth Scale Deluxe  R2-D2!
