Preview night was the normal bustle of critical mass as attendees try to cover the Comic-Con floor, check out the latest and greatest, and buy their exclusives all in the span of 2 1/2 hours. Hasbro once again gives a good showcase centered around a huge and masterfully done Hoth diorama, complete with key scenes from Echo Base and a spectacular recreation of the battle of Hoth. An unusually overcast and drizzly morning in America's Finest City for the warm up to the big event. A brave and dedicated few have been sitting in their lawn chairs since the wee hours of the morning as exhibitors set up inside the cavernous convention center floor. We took a few random shots of some marketing marquees and banners draped across the buildings, hotels, and lamp posts as the run up to Comic-Con begins!
Justin Hauner and his friend, Ben Fucik, were in a hurry. Their flight home from San Diego, California, to Appleton, Wisconsin, was taking off soon, and they had to get to the airport in time.
However, Hauner had a change in plans that had them in a race against the clock: He had to ship the collectibles he had purchased on his trip back to Wisconsin.
"I had so much stuff that I bought that I didn't have enough room to get into my luggage," he said.
