This week in Q&A - Reissues of the little Vintage guys? Possible, but unlikely on the same cardbacks ever again. Also Max Rebo where?
Be sure you send in your questions. The mailbag is out of questions, so if you got some, send some in. Read on!
It's time - and you know what for! We
posted Adam's Star Wars Newsletter #14! Kenner retro Marvel figures are showing up for sale at very 1980s prices. Many new movies and TV shows were announced - skim the list and don't bother watching the reveal videos. All this and new toy announcements you may have been too busy to catch! Read it here!
Via the Star Wars Galactic Hunter Figure of the Day Blog: Wicket (The Black Series). It's new! It's ridiculous that a tiny figure like Wicket - smaller and less complex than a The Vintage Collection figure - should cost $25. But, I will say, it's probably the best Hasbro Wicket we'll ever get, and they certainly loaded him up with extra gear like a bow and arrow set. Read on!

Via the Star Wars Galactic Hunter Figure of the Day Blog: Chewbcca (& AT-ST, The Vintage Collection). If he looks familiar, he should - this is a redeco of the 2004 Return of the Jedi Vintage figure from the Original Trilogy Collection. The AT-ST is a redeco of the vehicle that's over 10 years old - and all together, it's $90. Is it worth it? Well, it's cheaper than getting the previous releases of the Scout Walker, barely. Read on!
This week in Q&A - did fans really vote for Count Dooku in a recent fan poll? If so, there's probably a good reason. Carded figure storage - how do you do it?
Also Cassian Andor (Aldahani Mission) from The Vintage Collection... how is it? I'm not crazy about it.

Via the Star Wars Galactic Hunter Figure of the Day Blog: Luke Skywalker (Jedi Knight, The Retro Collection). This is a reissue of a figure that I first got in 1983, and with the new head I'd go as far as to say it seems more like an interesting new variant. The same figure mold - possibly with a recolored cloak, that's inconclusive - will be sold later this year as a The Book of Boba Fett Jedi Academy Luke Skywalker figure. Which seems like something Kenner would've done by the late 1980s. Read on!

Also, pick up a Planet of the Apes 3 3/4-Inch ReAction Figure Bundle of 4 for $27. That's cheap! You get a boxed Lawgiver statue figure and three carded retro figures for an absurdly low price.
Sometimes Dr. Zaius is right - you might not like what you find. Gamespot posted a reveal of Book Of Boba Fett's Luke Skywalker Gets Star Wars Retro Figure without acknowledging that they didn't. It is, in fact, a repack of the reissue of Luke Skywalker (Jedi Knight) from Kenner way back in 1983. It's a packaging variant for what I assume will be a popular figure with lots of demand, so that's good - but he doesn't have Luke's new shirt or boots. It's the same old thing. Some pictures show a brown cloak, and some show black, so it's possible you might get a new black cloak here.
It's not even just different enough to make you mad - it's a real Kenner-style package logo/photo variation. I should have seen it coming - it's a good economical idea for a business, less so for those of us who were hoping we might get the first post-trilogy Kenner-style Luke figure we've been wanting since the 1980s.
The review of the Return of the Jedi reissue - seemingly identical and shipping now - will be posted here on Thursday. (It's good.)

Via the Star Wars Galactic Hunter Figure of the Day Blog: Fifth Brother (Inquisitor, The Black Series). He has a big hat and a hilt he doesn't grip well, but there's a peg, I guess. Good sculpt, but a little weird in how it relates to the hilt. Read on!
