Star Wars Figure of the Day: Day 2,415: Rey (2-Pack, The Last Jedi Line Look)

By Adam Pawlus — Monday, October 9, 2017

Newish from The Last Jedi, this Rey (2-Pack) figure is a little different than the single one - the sculpt is a little different, the legs have a different range of motion, and the faces are a little different.  Also she has a Millennium Falcon-inspired backpack cannon, so go ahead and get both.  This one is made in Vietnam, the single one is from China.  Read on!

NYCC 2017 - Hasbro Star Wars 3 3/4-Inch Action Figure Reveals

By Adam Pawlus — Friday, October 6, 2017

3423 New stuff!  While some of it may not look new - a revised Asty is appreciated, but we've got Asty - there are some other new things here to enjoy.   Asty appears to have a removable helmet and a blaster, but you've got Asty.   Probably.

3424 Also returning is Maz Kanata with a snazzy jetpack.  Previously exclusive to a 4-pack, this slightly modified figure gives you another crack at the character with some new gear.

Star Wars Figure of the Day: Day 2,414: Elite Praetorian Guard (2-Pack, The Last Jedi Line Look)

By Adam Pawlus — Wednesday, October 4, 2017

Take a look at the Elite Praetorian Guard (2-Pack, The Last Jedi Line Look) with its bonnet.  Ofsnoke has a cool bladed weapon and a faceless mask, and is one of (so far) three different 3 3/4-inch guards on the market.   Should you get it?  Of course.  Read on!

Star Wars Figure of the Day: Day 2,413: Obi-Wan Kenobi (The Last Jedi Line Look)

By Adam Pawlus — Monday, October 2, 2017

I was surprised to find Yoda and Obi-Wan Kenobi (The Last Jedi Line Look) over Force Friday weekend.  This is a spectacular figure for the asking price - not only does it talk, but the design is really good.   He can't sit in a Landspeeder, but there are jointed legs, a fantastic painted beard, one of the best Alex Guinness faces yet rendered in plastic, and oh yes - it's one of the few new 3 3/4-inch Original Trilogy sculpts since the dawn of the Disney new movie toy era.  Read on!

Star Wars Figure of the Day: Day 2,412: Elite Praetorian Guard (The Last Jedi Line Look)

By Adam Pawlus — Wednesday, September 27, 2017

If you haven't seen it yet, take a look at the Elite Praetorian Guard (The Last Jedi Line Look).   It has big giant split gown legs, a cool weapon, and a helmet that looks sort of like it has blinds on it.   Read on!

Star Wars Figure of the Day: Day 2,411: Kylo Ren (The Last Jedi Line Look)

By Adam Pawlus — Monday, September 25, 2017

There's a Dark Side of the Force and a Light Side.  Also, Kylo Ren's got an evil side of the face with a battle scar for The Last Jedi, including this one from the TIE Silencer.  It's good enough for granddad, it's good enough for him.   But is it better than the carded one with a cape?   ...no.   Read on!

Star Wars Figure of the Day: Day 2,409: Han Solo (The Last Jedi Line Look)

By Adam Pawlus — Monday, September 18, 2017

Packaged with Boba Fett in a two-pack, this Han Solo (The Last Jedi Line Look) is in stores now.  I'm willing to make that bet because stores seem to have a lot of these - but they're neat.  Read on!

Star Wars Figure of the Day: Day 2,407: Resistance Pilot Tallie (The Last Jedi Line Look)

By Adam Pawlus — Monday, September 11, 2017

Coming with the first-ever figure scale blue A-Wing Fighter, Resistance Pilot Tallie is awesome.  We think.  We don't know what she does in the movie yet, but she's nifty with a non-removable helmet.  I like her!  I like her ship, too. Read on!

HasCon - New 12-Inch Yoda, Black Series Rose, More Dewback

By Adam Pawlus — Saturday, September 9, 2017

3411 I just snapped a few more (or better) shots of items the other day.   Maybe you've seen these, but if not here's another look.  (No, not another Luke.)

The Titan Hero Series Yoda is a great mishmash of his design from The Empire Strikes Back and the prequels, including his snake and cane from the Kenner era plus a lightsaber from the not-as-old era.  I've felt that these 12-inch scale figures have been generally great - their only real shortcoming is my preferene for Original Trilogy-era characters, of which there have been precious few at this size.  The production sample of Yoda looked so incredible that for $10, I'd strongly recommend everybody give him a good look when he hits stores in a little while.

HasCon - Star Wars 6-Inch The Black Series Action Figures

By Adam Pawlus — Friday, September 8, 2017

3398 Since a lot just came out, there wasn't a ton of newness in the 6-inch range at HasCon.  Star Wars fans may drool over a Landspeeder prototype, unpainted and marked up with where the paint would go later.  It's gorgeous.  You can also see Snoke plus the Force Friday offerings, after the break.

HasCon - Star Wars 40th Anniversary Collection and The Black Series Diorama-Rama

By Adam Pawlus — Friday, September 8, 2017

3387

You may have seen this from San Diego Comic-Con, but it was mobbed by people in a tight booth.  At HasCon, there was more space between things, so you don't have to worry about being crushed alive from all sides while trying to look at an action figure.  Also notable, many figures in the diorama were customized and a Luke Stormtrooper has an alternate, wet head.   I was unable to find out if it's coming out or was just a thing for the booth, but the important thing tonight is that you can see it after the jump.

HasCon - Star Wars Vehicles and Creature/Vehicle Sets

By Adam Pawlus — Friday, September 8, 2017

3379 So there aren't any more new vehicles on display, but it's worth noting that the Wampa with Luke Skywalker is sized similarly to the recent Probe Droid with Darth Vader and Bala-Tik with Rathtar - and should be in that same assortment later, you lucky so-and-sos.   I'm happy to see so much new stuff from The Empire Strikes Back, and the Wampa looks nice in particular.  New figure 2-packs, including BB-8's dark friend, are there too.
