Star Wars Figure of the Day: Day 2,641: Luke Skywalker (Yavin, The Vintage Collection)

By Adam Pawlus — Tuesday, November 26, 2019

You can find the Luke Skywalker (Yavin, The Vintage Collection)  in stores or order online, as it's a Walmart exclusive! I would recommend getting the figure in store - it's the Luke of Theseus with a new head and a few other changes from previous releases.  It just doesn't s hip well in an unprotected plastic sack.  Read on!

Best Buy Got the Star Wars The Black Series Heavy Infantry Mandalorian Deluxe Action Figure

By Adam Pawlus — Saturday, November 23, 2019

3734 Best Buy scored one of the best exclusives of the year - now on their web site and probably out of stock - with the new Star Wars - The Black Series Heavy Infantry Mandalorian Deluxe Action Figure.  This appears in The Mandalorian streaming series, and since we are not considering product announcements to be spoilers unless it has a specific feature (i.e., decapitation) we're going to go ahead and post it here.

Cappy Space Does Droids - Glyos Figures at D-Con

By Adam Pawlus — Saturday, November 23, 2019

3733 If you are going to D-Con, Anaheim's Designer Con, this weekend be sure to stop by booth #3028 to see Cappy Space.  You can pick up CPs&Qs AV Robot or R-Toolio there, or order it on this web site right here.  These are Glyos-compatible figures and mix with The Outer Space Men as well as those 3 3/4-inch My Hero Academia figures you see at the GameStop.  They look pretty sharp.

CPs&Qs AV Robot is a gold recolor of the Nemo's Factory AV Robot, while R-Toolio is a clever redeco of the Onell Design Hub set.

Star Wars Figure of the Day: Day 2,640: R4 Astromech (Color-Changing Droids, Droid Factory, Galaxy's Edge)

By Adam Pawlus — Thursday, November 21, 2019

The R4 Astromech (Color-Changing Droids, Droid Factory, Galaxy's Edge) is pretty amazing.  When warm, it's a white and green R4 unit. When chilled, it's black.  In between it looks like it's an oily, used mess - it's really impressive.  Read on!

Star Wars Figure of the Day: Day 2,639: CZ Protocol Droid (Color-Changing Droids, Droid Factory, Galaxy's Edge)

By Adam Pawlus — Tuesday, November 19, 2019

It's not really an exaggeration to say a lot of 3 3/4-inch figure products aren't being given any sort of announcement.  This is especially true of many of the Disney theme park figures, like this one.   I didn't know about this CZ Protocol Droid (Color-Changing Droids, Droid Factory, Galaxy's Edge)  until it popped up on eBay and my pal Shannon got me its 4-pack, the other 4-pack, and a Droid Factory playset with the color-change droids on his next visit to Disneyland. (Thank you, Shannon!)  The figure mold is nothing new, but the color-change paint is quite impressive.  In warm temperatures, it's white, when it gets cold, it turns red.  And it looks sort of like a crab leg if you touch it.   Read on!

Q&A: Star Wars Grails, The Mandalorian, and Completism

By Adam Pawlus — Sunday, November 17, 2019

This week in Q&A - Modern grails, are they possible? Sure! But you'll never be able to predict them. Also completism is a scourge so let's talk about "just different enough to make you mad" from the new The Vintage Collection announcements.

Star Wars Figure of the Day: Day 2,638: Wedge Antilles (The Black Series 6-Inch)

By Adam Pawlus — Thursday, November 14, 2019

It's Luke with a new head, but Wedge Antilles (The Black Series 6-Inch)  is pretty good.  You get a great portrait, a blaster, a helmet, and possibly the wrong haircut.  It's hard to know for sure - but you can read on!

Star Wars Figure of the Day: Day 2,637: The Mandalorian (The Black Series 6-Inch)

By Adam Pawlus — Tuesday, November 12, 2019

The show is on today - I haven't seen it yet - but The Mandalorian (The Black Series 6-Inch) is a figure you can get now! It's armored, you can see some Scarif Trooper armor, and it looks cool.   The coloring looks like something that would fit in with Jabba's entourage, but for now he'll just wander the shelves.  Read on!

Q&A: Star Wars Gets Small - Small Screens, Small Figures

By Adam Pawlus — Sunday, November 10, 2019

This week in Q&A - It's The Mandalorian week! I haven't seen it, so we'll talk about the lack of 3 3/4-inch The Rise of Skywalker toys! And 6-inch figures that don't exist as 3 3/4-inch figures - this is going to be a thing.

Be sure you send in your questions for next time. Our mail bag is empty. Read on!

Star Wars Figure of the Day: Day 2,635: Rey (Galaxy of Adventures 5-Inch)

By Adam Pawlus — Tuesday, November 5, 2019

The newish Rey (Galaxy of Adventures 5-Inch) is probably on a peg in a store near you, which is wrong, it should be in your house.  She's loaded with articulation, the paint job is fantastic, and there are good accessories and a working blaster holster.  And she's only ten bucks.  Read on!

Q&A: Star Wars New Old Figures, The Mandalorian, and Missing Stuff

By Adam Pawlus — Sunday, November 3, 2019

This week in Q&A - the future if new old 3 3/4-inch figures! I wouldn't get hopeful. And Mandalorian stuff - is that it? Well, it's some of it for now at least. Also the missing figures are still missing, so for those of you who are obsessive about numbering, we're sorry about that.

Be sure you send in your questions for next time. Our mail bag is empty. Read on!

Star Wars Figure of the Day: Day 2,634: D-O (Galaxy of Adventures 5-Inch)

By Adam Pawlus — Thursday, October 31, 2019

Now available and pretty easy to find, the D-O (Galaxy of Adventures 5-Inch) comes as part of a pretty good 3-pack.  It's the smallest figure in the set, complete with an articulated neck and hair.  As of now the 3 3/4-inch D-O is exclusive to a Disney parks gift set - so should you get this cheaper and easier to find set instead? Read on!
