It's an exclusive and it's a big upgrade over the previous edition, which had no vest, no cloak, and no blaster for the same price.  I like the new head a lot, even if he does have a little more color than I would expect for the scale.  Read on!

Possibly at a Walgreens near you, the Clone Commander Obi-Wan Kenobi (The Black Series 6-Inch) looks more like Ewan McGregor than the movie-specific Ewan figures put out in this scale.  He's got a lot of color in his face, which works well as his armor is pretty desaturated.  Is it worth buying this modified Clone Trooper figure?  Yes.  Read on!

It's the Shadow Trooper (The Vintage Collection)! It's the Blackhole Stormtrooper I always wanted - they can call it what they want, but this is about as Russ Manning as these things get.  He has extra parts, too!  Read on.

If you can't get enough of paying for parking and waiting in lines, Disney has a special treat for you.  Its Orlando debut of Rise of the Resistance means new ride, new stuff, and new things to fill your suitcase.  The info-tainment piece Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance Attraction Merchandise Coming to Disney Parks on December 5 covers some of the shirts, pins, and other doodads - but the nifty vehicle and droid are probably the thing even us snooty, indoor fans will want.

With the advent of Disney+, it was quickly discovered that the 4K remaster of the original 1977 Star Wars movie, called Star Wars, anyone who tells you otherwise is wrong, had some changes made to it.  The Fox fanfare was there, Greedo had a bit more to say, and it turns out there were several other tweaks and adjustments too.   Bill Hunt and Dave Stewart posted a , a great site you may remember as  being one of the big news and review sites for DVDs back when DVDs were a big and new thing - and they're still doing a fantastic job looking at digital home cinema releases.  If you're an old-school Star Wars fan, and you are, check this out.

It's Darth Vader (Galaxy of Adventures 5-Inch)! He's big and chunky, and in that new scale and style that won't match your other toys - it's cool, though.  Provided you aren't overwhelmed in desk figures, this is a good one. Read on!

I f you like 3 3/4-inch action figures, the indie world has been a great place to dwell.  Healey Made's Raider is now available in clear green and black, the latter of which has since sold out.  They're $20 and $25, respectively.  Legend has it an old Kenner sculptor worked on these, so you may want to keep your ears to the ground for announcements of future painted figure releases.  An unpainted blue prototype seems to be long gone - I didn't even see it get listed!

If you need custom figure fodder or are looking to scratch an itch, I recommend these.  They're nice toys.

Millions have been produced over the years, but there was enough demand that Hasbro made more of Darth Vader (The Retro Collection) in a new format for 2019.  The texture and feel is a little different, and there's a slight difference in the chest paint - and of course, the copyright markings are changed.  Read on!
