If we cannot be free, at least we can be cheap. Amazon has Star Wars Retro Collection Boba Fett (Morak) Toy 3.75-Inch-Scale The Mandalorian Collectible Action Figures on sale for $5.49 which, adjusted for inflation, is still a preposterously cheap price.

Heck, $5.49 shipped is a pretty good price just to steal his blaster for your old Boba Fett figures.

This is one of my favorite figures out of Hasbro in recent years, and I'd say if you still buy from Amazon it's worth their selling it too cheaply for you to get one. Click here to check availability.

Via the Star Wars Galactic Hunter Figure of the Day Blog: Darth Maul (The Black Series). This is a pretty excellent figure - the facial expression is superb, the head spikes are spiky, the outfit is good, and the articulation is great. If you like this costume, this is a very good figure of it. Read on!

This week in Q&A - Why are there no new retro retro figures? Does Lucasfilm and/or Hasbro hate us? Also Why aren't we getting follow-through on the new stuff? It looks like it's sort of impossible to get this right.

Your pal and mine Seth Longmire has been working on some fun retro-style 3 3/4-inch playsets to go with the myriad retro, old, vintage, indie, and other action figures we all own. His PROTOTYPE Mini Space Bar - Custom 3 3/4" Action Figure Playset is up on Etsy now - it's orange and should fit pretty much any old-school 3 3/4-inch Kenner style figure. While not licensed, this No. 39020 (second shooter) is a WWF-esque take on Greedo. A painted Japanese vinyl figure, pre-orders are now open for $70.00 a pop. Via the Star Wars Galactic Hunter Figure of the Day Blog: Grand Inquisitor (The Black Series). It's a pretty good figure of a twerp of an interpretation of the character! The head isn't too perfect, but he has a nice cape, decent armor, and good articulation. The make-up doesn't quite match the series, and that make-up doesn't quite replicate the look of the species as seen previously. But it's available, you can buy it. Read on!

Over at 16bit.com Figure of the Day I look at newish and old action figures three times a week! They're very rarely Star Warsy, but this one is close enough to share here.

I just got this retro-Kenner-esque Healey Made Trooper (Bulloch) Action Figure and it's great. The new head works with old figures too, and it seems like the kind of thing Kenner would make if Star Wars action figures continued without new movies in the 1980s. It sold out, and I suggest getting one (or a future repaint) if it is possible to do so. Do read on, and stay tuned for whatever the next recolor may be!

While it leaked a few years ago, I had a hard time finding Star Wars Detours "Dog Day Afternoon" which featured Andy Richter and "Weird Al" Yankovic as 4-LOM and Zuckuss. A pal of mine messaged me over the weekend with a link - and sure enough, it's there! It's only 6 1/2 minutes, but it's interesting to see an alternate future where the franchise could have descended into intentional self-parody. Check it out over at Archive.org while you can.

This figure includes a lot of gear like Whistling Birds and a removable wrist rocket, and fire, and the Beskar spear. And a pistol. It's probably the most fleshed-out Mando yet, but he's in an expensive boxed set. But he's probably the best. Read on!

Over at Orbitdyne, Making a Cantina - Part II shows a much larger, more robust set with booths, a full bar, glow-in-the-dark elements, and electronic internal lights. And a sticker door. It's incredible - and you should check it out.
