There's a small update in the Hasbro booth this morning with carded Vintage Collection Amidala, Ben Quadrinaros, and the new Movie Heroes Obi-Wan Kenobi, which comes with a light up lightsaber and packaged in the new blue Maul packaging. Check back later today for more news and new stuff from the Hasbro panel!
We have uploaded tons in our Image Bank featuring large photos from the Hasbro Booth for your viewing pleasure. If you're a Phantom Menace, there's plenty coming up next year for the 3D re-release. If you're a fan of The Vintage Collection, it's also continuing for 2012.
New York Comic-Con is underway and we've posted some highlight photos from the Hasbro booth. The Phantom Menace is clearly the main theme, with Podracers, a Podracer multipack, and not to mention the Darth Maul package branding prevalently on display. Vintage does continue with a new cardback paying homage to the classic Kenner 12 backs. There's something big under a black blanket that we can't wait for Hasbro to reveal later in the show.
Before you see the new Naboo Fighter and Astromech Battle Pack, check out this Fi-Ek Sirch update from earlier this year! It's a Jedi and it's good.
Hasbro threw a Preview Night Party last night for New York Comic-Con and offered some tidbits of what's to come later this evening. In their Star Wars room, the H people showed the already seen ROTJ sandstorm deleted scene figures, a new play concept showcasing half inch scale cutsie figurines and vehicles called Battle Pods, and in what is sure to cause some consternment from adult collectors but play appeal for the kiddies; the return of the "action feature". Shown were the upcoming Qui-Gon Jin and Obi-Wan Kenobi action figures with light up lightsabers for the upcoming TPM 3D release assortment.
