Star Wars Figure of the Day: Day 2,534: General Veers (The Black Series 6-Inch)

By Adam Pawlus — Thursday, November 15, 2018

Walgreens' General Veers (The Black Series 6-Inch)  is in stores now, provided you go to more than one of them.   Maybe you'll get lucky - it's a good figure!  Veers has extra parts to switch between his Star Destroyer look with cap and his helmeted, armored AT-AT commander look.  You've got options, and the face looks pretty amazing.  Read on!

Star Wars Figure of the Day: Day 2,522: Clone Commander Wolffe (The Black Series 6-Inch)

By Adam Pawlus — Thursday, October 4, 2018

Check out Clone Commander Wolffe, a shared exclusive that started showing up over the summer. You might see it at Barnes & Noble, GameStop, or Disney Stores - or not, if it sold.  The new head looks great.  Read on!

Star Wars Figure of the Day: Day 2,512: Chewbacca (Vandor-1 Playset, Solo: A Star Wars Story Line Look)

By Adam Pawlus — Thursday, August 30, 2018

This Chewbacca (Vandor-1 Playset) is like the other one, but with goggles.  I think the growls are slightly different, but that may not be a selling point - the playset is, though.   Read on!

Star Wars Figure of the Day: Day 2,506: BT-1 (Beetee, The Vintage Collection)

By Adam Pawlus — Thursday, August 9, 2018

Attack R2-D2!  Well, not really.  This BT-1 figure has removable weapons and panels to cover the holes those weapons leave.  The paint job is great, and it uses a build-a-droid mold with filled in holes for the lower body leg holes.  I like it.  Read on!

SDCC Breakfast Reveal - New Black Series 6-Inch Solo Imperial Patrol Trooper

By Adam Pawlus — Friday, July 20, 2018

3622 At the Hasbro fan breakfast yesterday, we got a look at the Imperial Patrol Trooper coming to The Black Series at some point in the next few months.  I't from Solo: A Star Wars Story which a straw poll around here seems to indicate a lot of fans didn't even bother to go see - a shame, as it looks more like a Star Wars movie when it comes to characters and costumes.

Star Wars Figure of the Day: Day 2,491: Power Droid (Wind-Up Fight Droids, Solo: A Star Wars Story Line Look)

By Adam Pawlus — Wednesday, June 20, 2018

From Disney, the Power Droid (Wind-Up Fight Droids) is pretty big - it might be too big, but it's neat.  It walks and swings its arms with all the precision of the windmill.   It's $9.95 for both figures, so it's plenty cheap.  Read on!

Star Wars Figure of the Day: Day 2,487: Captain Phasma (First Order Disguise, The Last Jedi Line Look)

By Adam Pawlus — Monday, June 4, 2018

Captain Phasma (First Order Disguise, The Last Jedi Line Look)  was meant for a main line release, but ended up almost not coming out - instead, you can find it as an Entertainment Earth exclusive.   She has a staff, a backpack, a cape, a blaster, and Finn too.   I love how both arms are pre-posed to hold either weapon, plus they painted her arms silver rather than molding them in a not-matching swirly color.  It's nice.  Read on!

Star Wars Figure of the Day: Day 2,469: Rose (Crait Defense, The Last Jedi Line Look)

By Adam Pawlus — Wednesday, April 4, 2018

So check out Rose (Crait Defense) from the four-pack from The Last Jedi.  It's cool!  She has her necklace, and what's left of her First Order uniform.   And a blaster.  She's one of the cooler figures in the set, so assuming you didn't already buy one and are just looking to have your good sense of taste reenforced read on!

Star Wars Figure of the Day: Day 2,463: DJ (Canto Bight, The Last Jedi, The Black Series 6-Inch)

By Adam Pawlus — Wednesday, March 14, 2018

It's Dr. Gonzo!  Er, the Wolfman!  Ah, that mumbly guy!  DJ (Canto Bight, The Last Jedi, The Black Series 6-Inch) has a pretty great likeness and a fairly Star Wars-y costume.  Also, two blasters.   You may have seen him around, but if you haven't should you buy him?  Read on!

Jon Favreau to Helm Live-Action Star Wars TV Show

By Adam Pawlus — Thursday, March 8, 2018

The title says it all: Jon Favreau to Executive Produce and Write Live-Action Star Wars Series.  There is no date and no real details, other than this will be for Disney's new streaming platform at some point in the future.  For those keeping track, this means there's a movie series coming from the Game of Thrones showrunners, another one from Rian Johnson, this TV show, Episode IX, and probably another spin-off and a cartoon in there somewhere.

Star Wars Figure of the Day: Day 2,457: Elite Praetorian Guard (The Last Jedi Line Look)

By Adam Pawlus — Wednesday, February 21, 2018

The Elite Praetorian Guard was sold as a Force Link exclusive starter set at Toys R Us... and either sold or was disappeared.   I remember seeing these come out and being surprised as they started to dry up in November and December, leading to not all that many at some locations last I checked.  This guard has 2 unique accessories and an exclusive-to-this-release helmet.   I assume you've bought yours.  Read on!

Solo: A Star Wars Story The Black Series Action Figures

By Adam Pawlus — Wednesday, February 14, 2018

3476 The subtext of Solo: A Star Wars Story seems to be that this is clearly Childish Gambino's year.  I don't care what the movie title is, this is the Lando movie and the very first official Donald Glover Lando Calrissian reveal is in the 6-inch action figure line.  It's awesome.   (Are you watching Atlanta?  You should watch that.)  But I digress - the figures will follow the same pattern as usual.  Will new figures slip out early thanks to the same assortment running since 2015?  It's possible!  But here's what Hasbro has to say:

Star Wars Figure of the Day: Day 2,454 Kylo Ren (The Last Jedi, The Black Series 6-Inch)

By Adam Pawlus — Monday, February 12, 2018

It's Kylo Ren (The Last Jedi, The Black Series 6-Inch)!  This figure came out last September and has one of the better Adam Driver heads in the line so far.  Read on!

Star Wars Figure of the Day: Day 2,432: Emperor's Royal Guard (The Last Jedi Line Look)

By Adam Pawlus — Monday, December 4, 2017

It's a theme week!  We start off with Emperor's Royal Guard (The Last Jedi Line Look), now at Target... probably.  It's a new sculpt with a sound chip, but the figure is more exciting than the chip.  Read on!
