The Clone Wars television series Supervising Director Dave Filoni will be at the Hasbro Comic-Con booth (#3213) this Saturday from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm to sign a special edition of the Star Wars: The Clone Wars, which is designed specifically for the autograph session and free for fans. Hasbro will be distributing a limited number of tickets on a first come first serve basis for fans to participate. The tickets will be distributed Saturday beginning at 9:30 in the Hasbro booth while supplies last.

While last year's focus was on The Empire Strikes Back's 30th Anniversary, this year is all about "Getting Revenge". Marvel properties may be the movie darlings of 2011, but Hasbro remains dedicated to their Vintage mission,though most of what they showed at Comic-Con was packaging alone, as they largely touted their show exclusive Revenge of the Jedi Death Star set.

It's Darth Vader! Or it's Anakin Skywalker-- Hasbro changed the name early in the run, so you can buy it with either name on the packaging. Is it any good? You'll just have to read on!
Hasbro finally delivers a Han Solo in Bespin outfit that we can truly term as the definitive version so far. The dead on facial likeness, super- articulation, and even the "Han-ness", that cocky swagger, is evident in this figure. Sure Hasbro. for their own reasons. didn't include the leg strap, but it doesn't diminish an otherwise excellent execution.
It's a Clone Pilot! This is the one that comes with the brand-new Y-Wing Scout Bomber, and has more than a passing resemblance to Warthog. With ball-jointed hips and great helmet deco, it's a nice figure-- but is it worth buying with the vehicle? Read on!

Pretend to be excited! Hasbro will likely be unveiling the B-Wing Fighter, a just-released Kmart exclusive in The Vintage Collection at Comic-Con this week. I expect lots of applause from people in the audience who weren't paying attention to store shelves-- but not you, good reader, as you are an astute person with their ear to the tracks for this kind of thing, and good for you. I appreciate that. How is this fourth release of a 1980s mold? Pretty good, actually-- it's basically a redeco of the 2008 Dagger Squad version.
As far as toy vehicles go, the B-Wing (courtesy of its packaging and how it ships) provides one of the best user experiences around for Star Wars spacecraft. Kudos to Hasbro's packaging department for a well-engineered series of inserts, but more on that later.
