Star Wars Figure of the Day: Day 2,028

By Adam Pawlus — Friday, March 22, 2013

Does this Biker Scout having different grey dirt splotches make him different? Sure, why not.  It's from a really great 2007 gift set that at the time was one of the greatest bargains the line had to offer.  And today?  Well, it's cheaper than it was a couple of years ago.

Star Wars Figure of the Day: Day 2,027

Let's look at Rebel Pilot Tiree, a still-available exclusive from the original Star Wars  movie!  Sure, he has the wrong torso, but that's the rule rather than the exception lately.  Should you run out to the Toys R Us to get one?

Star Wars Figure of the Day: Day 2,026

I really like this Battle Droid, in part because the blue-bedecked "pilots" are far and few between.  We got one about 13 years ago with another swell mini-rig-ish vehicle, and then... uh... I think this might be it, actually.   It's based on the 2012 MTT droid mold, which isn't at all bad.  I'm not saying it's exceptional, but I am saying I like it enough to wish I had more.

Check out this AT-ST Gunner from the Kmart AT-ST Drivers pack last year! It's pretty good.  For the price, I'd say it's quite the deal... particularly if you have one of the earlier AT-ST vehicles which doesn't collapse under its own weight like the 2012 release.

Check out Clone Trooper Slick, a Target-exclusive from the not-quite-dead series.  It's basically a plain white Clone with a removable helmet.

Q&A: Toy Storage, Ship Happenings, Classics, and New Stuff

By Adam Pawlus — Sunday, March 17, 2013

So you want to know if 2013 looks slow? Well, yeah. And how about carded action figure storage, since you're going to have a lot of time to think about the stuff you already bought? And let's complain about 2013 some more since, I guess, that's what people are asking about now. Please feel free to send in other questions, and read this week's update after the jump.

Star Wars Figure of the Day: Day 2,023

By Adam Pawlus — Friday, March 15, 2013

This slight redeco of Clone Commander Wolffe is, if you ask me, better than the single-carded version.  As a bonus, his armor matches his troops'!   If you haven't picked him up yet, this is a good version to snag.

Check out the 2012 beflagged version of Mars Guo, a pretty good reissue of the 2006 pod racer.  It's not bad.  It's pretty small and at clearance prices, this is 20% of a pretty fantastic little set.   Should you get it?

Star Wars Figure of the Day: Day 2,021

By Adam Pawlus — Wednesday, March 13, 2013

Based on one of his first appearances anywhere, this General Grievous animated action figure features a slightly different color scheme.  The bone armor is more blue, the cape has no red lining.  As such, it's distinctive.  But is it worth a look?

Cool Star Wars Custom: Orbit Zenith Man Clone Trooper

By Adam Pawlus — Tuesday, March 12, 2013

If you're looking for something different, Orbitdyne (aka Seth Longmire) posted a really spiffy custom 12-inch figure called the Orbit Zenith Man, which is a colorful, metallic nod to the original Uzay Blue Stars figure.  If you were wondering just what good might come from those new 12-inch, seemingly cheapo figures, you'll be pleased to see the answer with this new picture.

Star Wars Figure of the Day: Day 2,020

Check out the new Orimaarko, a remake of a 1998 figure which was a remake of a 1984 figure. He uses a mix of new and (mostly) existing parts, plus he has some pretty nice gear which helps cuishon the blow of the ever-increasing price points.  Was this eyepatched online exclusive worth your while?
