Image Bank: Royal Starship Droids (Discover The Force)

By Mike — Sunday, January 29, 2012

Walmart appears to be the retailer of choice for exclusives in 2012 with their "Discover The Force" campaign. Each Hasbro Star Wars merchandise includes a pair of 3D glasses and a 3D image on the packaging to share the concept with the TPM re-rerelease. The Royal Starship Droids aren't entirely new but it is a great Battle Pack that evokes one of my favorite scenes in the film which re-introduces R2-D2 as always saving the day.

The guys at Rebelscum have posted some fantastic photos of the new Movie Heroes Wave II. These have reportedly been found in Canada, thus the variant cardbacks. A few quick hit observations are the great facial likenesses of Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan, Anakin grew a few inches since becoming a Padawan, and the light up sabers look absolutely stunning. Snaggletooth Returning to TV, With Two Familiar Friends

By Adam Pawlus — Friday, January 27, 2012

While I personally hate the "I watch Super Bowl for the commercials, wink" nonsense, I am extremely interested in a new ad from Volkswagen.  The Germans have made a new ad in the Cantina, which is exciting.   It stars Snaggletooth, or Zutton to anyone from the more modern era of character names.  It also has the Tonnika sisters.  (Are you reading this, Hasbro?)
