Even before the end of Star Wars Celebration V fans were starting to look forward to the next time they could get together with friends, Star Wars fans, from around the world. That's because no other event or convention offers the programming, the exclusives, the events, and the excitement Star Wars fans find at Star Wars Celebration. And this week it's finally here--Star Wars Celebration VI!
Every now and again, some of our favorite action figures have a patron saint. Nho'Apakk was one such figure, although the news of his patron isn't so rosy. Find out why this figure rocked, and some sad news when you read on.
While not quite a figure, but way cooler than just an accessory, this year's SDCC exclusive Jar Jar Binks in Carbonite is a real oddity. You can sort of see it in The Force Unleashed, it has a great sculpt, but it's a little small to fit Jar Jar. Yet it's one of the most compelling items of the year.
We kick off our Celebration VI fun with an awesome contest giveaway for our readers sponsored by the nice folks at Marc Ecko! Let your Bounty Hunter flag fly by entering for the chance to win the "Fett For Real" Hoodie by Marc Ecko Cut & Sew (which quickly sold out the last time it was offered) and the Ecko "Hired Gun-Seek and Destroy" Fett T-Shirt. Here's how to enter!
Or-Lando system here we come! Star Wars fandom congregates in Florida this week for some fun, partying, swag looting, panels, diorama building, and most importantly for Galactic Hunter and our readers, the latest news and images from Hasbro and what they'll further reveal for 2013. Join Adam and I for our own unique spin on things and we may even spring a surprise or two. Like us on Facebook and follow us on Twitter as the Celebration VI coverage and fun begins tomorrow!
Our sponsors at Entertainment Earth posted two new Star Wars Monster Mash-Ups from Funko! If you haven't seen these before, and we haven't, you'll be delighted to see the Jawa Reaper and Tusken Mummy. Check 'em out after the jump!
Who says there’s no such thing as geek swag? It’s been five years since the Marc Ecko Cut & Sew brand first released its epic line of official Star Wars full-zip hoodies. And for the fifth time in a row, it’s no surprise that they are flying off the shelves like an X-wing out of the Death Star.
Q&A is off this week. That's the good news. And what's the bad news? More good news! We want you to submit your questions for Celebration VI. We'll do our best to research and answer them, if we can.
At only 500 pieces and $29.99, the Kotobukiya Celebration VI exclusive ARTFX+ R2-A6 shouldn't last too long at Celebration 6, particularly with that cool collectible coin. Koto has set aside a small number for their online store to purchase now and be delivered after the convention. If you're attending CVI, this may spare some luggage space.
From our sponsors at Brian's Toys: Brian's Toys has landed a complete 62 Coin set from Power of the Force! This aluminum coinn set is very elusive to many collector. It includes 27 coins once available from Kenner by mail-in only and 35 that were available in the Power of the Force packaging, these coins are rarely available in a complete set.
Imperial Agent Jahan Cross doesn't like his assignment or the politicians he is forced to work for. But when attackers kidnap a boy whose father he killed, Cross finds himself turning against his mission in Hard Targets #2. Ostrander and Duursema team up again in The Prisoner of Bogan #1!
Five Star Wars collecting clubs along with the Celebration VI Collecting Track will mark Celebration VI by giving away sections of an exclusive 6-piece patch set. When assembled, the pieces form a Clone Wars themed movie poster.
It's Tippet, a brand-new Toys R Us exclusive Ewok with 2 weapons and 2 hoods from his 2 appearances in Marvel Comics! I like this one a bunch, and since you asked for more Ewoks, here you are! Read on!
It's Princess Leia in Bespin Gown, part of the latest wave (and Comic-Con exclusive pack) from Hasbro! Even though the last one was good, this one is an improvement. Should you get one?
