Hasbro is going green in more ways than one in 2013. The Pawtucket, Rhode Island company has announced plans to reduce product packaging in many of its global brands, which will result in a 15% improvement in the average product to packaging ratio and a more environmentally friendly packaging overall. 

Gentle Giant has released their solicitations this month for exciting new product coming out in the 4th Quarter of 2012. For Star Wars, these include a new Death Trooper Statue and the Jumbo Vintage Red Snaggletooth and Red Security Battle Droid Minibust which were revealed at last month's WonderCon.

While not called out on the front of the box, this ARF Trooper is basically Trapper from the really cool Geonosis story arc.  There were zombies and dirt, which I hear kids love.  Should you get him?  Does he look like Waxer and Boil?

It's interesting to see that this Battle Droid is getting another run, and is one of the oldest figures to get a redeco in the line's run. (First issue 1998, this issue 2012.)  So the STAP is quite different, but how about the figure?  Read on!

So let's talk about vehicles, and get a little less optimistic for 2012 in that department. Why isn't Hasbro better exploiting TV series based on its core properties for new toys? A fine question. And why hasn't Hasbro given us a Marvel Legends-ish line yet? Would someone please tell me, because I'd like to know in this week's Q&A!
