Another day, another droid! Our pal Shannon helped me out so now we're going to look at more robots starting with the R7-Series Astromech Droid Gold. It's a new Disney droid - notable in that the "Hasbro" name has been scraped off the figure's legs now - and you can get it on your next trip to Anaheim. More are coming later this year, we hear, but how is this one? Read on!
This week in Q&A: Let's talk things changing because they will change, and that's going to happen. And how does the Avengers product line foreshadow what we can expect for Star Wars next year? Oh, and while we're at it let's talk toys-to-life some more, because it sounds like a prison sentence even though what we're really discussing are Skylanders.
And don't forget to send in your questions for next week. Read on!

This week in Q&A: Let's talk unreleased figures - there are a bunch of them, but if they aren't released, then what are they? Also Disney hunting. What should you go for? Also Titanium vs. Hot Wheels, the greatest showdown since Eisenhower vs. Hippies. Also there's a link to a great talk with Derryl DePriest regarding big G.I. Joe toys and that line's future - which may be a good read for a possible look at our own future. I gotta go pack my bags for an unrelated thing now.
And hey, send in your questions for next week. Read on!
Someone you don't know exited a movie you don't know anything about. According to a report on StarWars.com, director Josh Trank is no longer associated with the upcoming Star Wars side-movie. Josh Trank is also associated with this year's Fantastic Four movie. Coincidence?
Despite being a "secret," one of the worst-kept factoids of the new movie has been of a big merchandise launch on September 4, or "Force Friday." In an attempt to replicate the free publicity train provided by news reporters, radio stations, and fans in line back in May of 1999, you are once again being asked to line up at midnight to fork over hundreds of dollars on toys which history tends to show being worth nothing on eBay in a couple of years, because the good stuff comes later.
If you're itching to see more of Darth Vader and a bunch of returning faces from The Clone Wars, you won't have much longer to wait. June 20, 2015 - the day Ezra and pals return to Disney XD with a new one-hour "movie!" Click here to read more on StarWars.com.
If you've got a PlayStation and a hankering to play some old favorites, this is a good week to be alive - just remember, that "old" is a lot more recent than it used to be.
The PlayStation 3 has a Star Wars Throwback Pack on sale for $30.35 with PS2 ports of Bounty Hunter, Dark Forces, Racer Revenge, Starfighter, and Episode III: Revenge of the Sith. Those titles are also available individually for $9.99.
PlayStation Vita and PSP owners can enjoy a larger mega bundle for $39.99. It includes Battlefront II, Battlefront: Renegade Squadron, Battlefront: Elite Squadron, LEGO Star Wars III: The Clone Wars, The Clone Wars: Republic Heroes, and the original The Force Unleashed.
This week in Q&A: Why did Disney buy Star Wars anyway? Because Chico needed the money. And kids - and Disney theme park hunting. Basically, keep your eyes open for stuff because new things are sneaking out and clearances are going down everywhere. All this and more!
And hey, send in your questions for next week. Read on!

It's time to go on hiatus for at least until the new droids show up - but first, let's look at the 6-inch Han Solo Stormtrooper Disguise! It's pretty nice - mine had some paint smudging that cleaned right up. He has a helmet and a blaster, plus his blaster has some extra paint on it - the regular Stormtrooper does not. As such, this may be a decent army-builder. Read on!
Check out Bossk (The Black Series 6-Inch)! He's pretty cool - but he's awesome on a shelf of other figures. By himself, he's just pretty good - does he look cooler than the 7-inch Unleashed figure from a few years ago? Click here to find out when you read on!
This week in Q&A: Let's talk the whole articulation on your action figure thing again because why not. And Qui-Gon figures - should we be seeing a lot more? We'll also talk missing Saga Legends figures as well as some fun Celebration VII highlights you may have missed.
Don't forget to send in your questions for next week. Read on!
Readers Colin (pictures and info), Shannon Cosman (pal/pics/info), and Michael Magdalena (lots of info) have written in to tell all of us about what we can expect from the new Droid Factory line. This is the next big batch of figures showing up at Disney theme parks as I write this. We're all still putting together a complete picture of everything (I have an image 9 new figures after the jump) so you know what to expect. We'll put together a matrix of all the new parts as soon as we have in-hand samples, but until then? Here are the Top 6 7 8 Things You Must Know about New Disney Astormech Droids.
Yes, it is a good day to be a droid fan - minus the headaches we're all about to get trying to track these down.
