It took her a while to sell down, but Resistance Tech Rose seems to be moving out of a lot of stores now that the Blu-Ray home release is coming up.  The figure has 5 joints and is similar to the much more desirable (but harder to find) super articlated version.  Read on!

Hasbro sent along a note today to let us know that the crowdfunded 3 3/4-inch Jabba the Hutt Sail Barge - which will come in a vintage-style box, no  less - is now open to Canada.

Currently the tally is at 2210 fans plus mine, and you could be up here too.   Historically Canada does about 10% of what the USA does, and given the high prices to ship an item with extreme dimensional weight a lot of each item's price is going to go to getting it to your door.  Of course, it can't make it to your door if you don't sign up here now.

The Kohl's exclusive First Order Stormtrooper Officer is one new figure in a 4-pack.  It has a new helmet and a Force Link chip, but it looks a lot like the figure from the last movie.  Is it worth spending $50 to get the one trooper?  Probably not.  But I got one anyway.  Read on!

A Toys R Us exclusive - which means it may be marked down at a closing store nearish you - the First Order Stormtrooper Executioner (The Last Jedi Line Look)  was packed in a Force Link 2-pack with a band.  This means that, as of today, you'd have to buy three total Force Link Bands to get all the figures.  (A fourth is coming.)   How does this five-jointed wonder stack up?  Read on!

Like a phoenix rising out of Arizona, Hasbro Pulse seems to have one once more.   The oft-dormant fan site had a bit of a push at the Hasbro Toy Fair press event, and now the Hasbro Pulse Instagram Feed announced a new The Vintage Collection Klaatu (Skiff Guard) action figure render.  

This is the first new version of this figure in this costume since the 1990s, updating one of the original Kenner action figures of old to the modern "super articulated" era in time for Hasbro's new Sail Barge - now with over 1,600 supporters.  And of course I have a lot more to say about this.

The Elite Praetorian Guard was sold as a Force Link exclusive starter set at Toys R Us... and either sold or was disappeared.   I remember seeing these come out and being surprised as they started to dry up in November and December, leading to not all that many at some locations last I checked.  This guard has 2 unique accessories and an exclusive-to-this-release helmet.   I assume you've bought yours.  Read on!

While not a dreadful figure, this Poe Dameron repeats the cardinal sin of The Last Jedi 3 3/4-inch action figures.  It's boring.   Hasbro made two new pilot Poe figures for this movie which aren't substantially changed from the 2015 releases.  Is this pack-in pilot worth snagging?  Read on!

And the rest of the non-toddler stuff!   There are 12-inch figures, a new wave of Micro Force just hit in the last week (and can be seen here), plus there are more lightsabers.  The real surprise to me was a smaller Force Link 2.0-enabled Millennium Falcon which is not figure compatible.

Since its introduction last August, Forces of Destiny has had a mixed reception.  On one hand, it's a toy line for parents to buy their daughters.  On the other hand, so are all the other ones.   Is a lightsaber or a figure better because the packaging is different?  Sometimes it is - marketing accounts for a disturbing amount of your toy preferences.   Be it a comic, a cartoon, a commercial, or some other brililant insight your tastes were funneled to the stuff you like somehow - and this happens to this very day.
