What's mine is yours! The long-delayed Solo: A Star Wars Story Force Link 2.0 Kessel Mine Escape Walmart Exclusive Playset is now up on Walmart.com for a cheaper-than-anticipated $39.88. You can order it, it may not be in your area just yet. Click here to check availability.
While they showed up last week, fans who found it were denied at check-out. The embargo on the Solo: A Star Wars Story Force Link 2.0 Vandor-1 Heist was lifted early on Sunday, so now if you want one you can get it for $44.99. For your handy-dandy toy locating, mark down DPCI 087-16-0136 when hunting to verify if one is near you.
After the first few waves came and went without a standard Han in it, we were wondering what future was there for Solo toys. The good news is Hasbro was more than ready for us, with several of the principle characters getting toys in the very near future. Val will join L3-37, Tobias Beckett, Rio Durant, Han Solo as Imperial Infantry, and Quay Tolsite.
At this time it was not specified if these figures were singles, 2-packs, or exclusives somewhere. But they look pretty ready to go, so there's that.
After a pretty dry run, it's nice to see a big shot of variety, newness, and something we can recognize in this line. Even if it's from a movie you didn't see, probably. But that's not my fault - it was a fun movie and you should've gone to see it by now! Read on for more images.
Disney theme parks are selli Solo: A Star Wars Story - Wind-Up Fight Droids for $9.95 (plus shipping). The Astromech 4-pack isn't online at this time - I still need to get one, myself - but this 2-pack is. The listing says they're 3 3/4-inches, so I assume that means they'll fit nicely next to Hasbro figures. Order yours here.
Ad: Catch up on Marvel Legends and new Solo at Entertainment Earth! Hasbro has been keeping busy with new releases - check some of them out below!
While putzing around Hasbro's showroom, I got a look at the decent - not huge - new Millennium Falcon. What was interesting was that a lot of it was blocked out - there's a thing between the mandibles that could well be cargo or an escape pod. The box doesn't specify in its current state, but we do get a look at the ship from oh so many angles. Packaging, too. You want to see this. Read on.
Hasbro has a small line of Solo product, and we haven't seen it all yet. 3 3/4-inch action figures will be joined by some returning favorites, while others were rescued by an online etailer.
Some notes:
2-packs include Muddy Han and Chewbacca, plus Lando and "guard."
Force Link 2.0 syncs with your phone to download more phrases. It's backward compatible with 1.0, and theoretically could expand for a while now.
Wampa is still coming. A non-exclusive Mimban Stormtrooper is coming. Maz is coming.
Uploading pictures takes a while, and there are a bunch of them. New The Black Series action figures include: Gamorrean Guard (Target exclusive), Astromech Droids R5-D8 & R2-X2 & R2-D2 (Amazon), Hoth Leia, Commander Wolffe (Gamestop/Disney/Barnes & Noble shared), Zuckuss (Toys R Us), Skiff Guard Lando, Han Solo, Qi-Ra, Lando Calrissian (Solo), Tobias Beckett, Range Trooper, and a Mimban Stormtrooper (Walmart). That's a lot of stuff.
The Porg 2-pack is a value-priced item. Available very, very soon. (Very soon.)
But wait - there's more! Hasbro sent along another press release with images of a new Nerf blaster, new lightsabers, and an animatronic Chewbacca toy that's shaping up to be this year's most expensive new item.
Not in the actual press release (but in the images) is a new Galactic Heroes Millennium Falcon which should be out with the rest of the Spring movie launch stuff.
Here is what we were sent:
The subtext of Solo: A Star Wars Story seems to be that this is clearly Childish Gambino's year. I don't care what the movie title is, this is the Lando movie and the very first official Donald Glover Lando Calrissian reveal is in the 6-inch action figure line. It's awesome. (Are you watching Atlanta? You should watch that.) But I digress - the figures will follow the same pattern as usual. Will new figures slip out early thanks to the same assortment running since 2015? It's possible! But here's what Hasbro has to say:

One of the more fascinating ideas (with a closed execution) is back with the Force Link 2.0 Starter Set. (Completists have 3 of version 1.0 by now.) The new hotness includes younger Han Solo, a blaster, and.. well, you read it. It is backward compatible (I asked) and there may be other surprises baked in - but we'll have to wait and see what the final toy can do. Check out the Millennium Falcon-inspried detailing.

Solo: A Star Wars Story wouldn't be a toy line without 3 3/4-inch action figures. From the photos, these may be Hasbro's finest sculpts and decorations yet - get a gander at the human likenesses. Ths is a preview of them - more are coming, so there will still be things to reveal between now and... well, I can't divulge that just yet. At least two figures may be just different enough to make you mad. Hasbro says:
STAR WARS 3.75-INCH FIGURE Assortment

Enter the world of STAR WARS and launch into action and adventure! Each 3.75-inch figure features five points of articulation and comes with unique battle accessories. I should be packing, but Hasbro sent along a shot of the most excellent flagship... ship. Let's let them talk about it while I upload photos and listen to The Ramones albums.
