Via the Star Wars Galactic Hunter Figure of the Day Blog: The Stranger (Qimir, The Vintage Collection). Sure he's $20, but the hair looks great, he has decent accessories, and there are a bunch of unusual figure parts we probably won't see used ever again. Also this is easily the best character design from The Acolyte, so help yourself to one. Read on!
Via the Star Wars Galactic Hunter Figure of the Day Blog: Anakin Skywalker (Jedi Spirits, The Vintage Collection). This figure proves two heads are better than one, with a theatrical release/VHS-era head and a digital-era head. It's a good figure, with some parts from an existing Anakin figure as well as new ones. And also you can rip the figure's chest out with the head attached, so that's neat. Read on!

Via the Star Wars Galactic Hunter Figure of the Day Blog: Mandalorian Shriek-Hawk (Brown Chest Armor/No Rangefinder, The Vintage Collection). It's a mix of new and existing parts, or it was back in 2024 when it was new. The figure is part of a pretty nice four-pack, which should have been a massive hit. Boxed sets tend to not do as well as single-carded figures, and we might be getting a little Mando'ed out. That's too bad, as this is a nice figure with colorful armor and some nice gear. I'd recommend the set, especially since this affiliate link shows Amazon slashed the price since its debut. Read on!
Via the Star Wars Galactic Hunter Figure of the Day Blog: Sandtrooper (Stormtroopers of the Empire, The Vintage Collection). The backpack attaches by shoulder straps. It might not be exactly the same as on-screen Sandtroopers, it matches most fans' memory of them with black helmet lenses and little of the unique changes to the armor. But you do get an orange pauldron and three blasters, so it's a nifty figure that you wish you could just buy carded. Right now it's only in a 3-pack. Read on!
Via the Star Wars Galactic Hunter Figure of the Day Blog: R7-A7 (The Vintage Collection) . In the not-too-distant past, a few years ago A.D., Ahsoka Tano had to escape the Clones with the help of her robot friends. One of these was R7-A7, now marked down on Amazon. If you think you already had one, you're not wrong - there were cartoon versions from Hasbro and build-a-droid versions from Disney. This 2024 release is good, but it might feel repetitive. I also saw this droid - which comes in a 4-pack with Ahsoka - at Marshall's recently. Happy hunting. Read on!
Via the Star Wars Galactic Hunter Figure of the Day Blog: Anakin Skywalker (Cape, The Vintage Collection). It's pretty much the same as a figure we got about a year ago, except this one comes in a boxed set and has an added cape. Is it worth the upcharge for a cape? Ask your completism. It's a perfectly nice figure, but I do worry a bit about the longevity of the elastic bands around his arms that secure the cape in place. Read on!
So what's new? Figures! No ships, playsets, or prop items were shown.
The Vintage Collection added Labria (last released around 2007), Garindan (last redone in 2006), Chalmun (new, never even in the movies), and Arleil Schhous (the Wolfman from the HasLab that didn't hit its last goal.) This set is a ShopDisney/Pulse exclusive launching January 28.
Via the Star Wars Galactic Hunter Figure of the Day Blog: Ben (Obi-Wan) Kenobi (The Vintage Collection). We've had a few versions of this character as a figure in the past 20 years, which continue to show that it can be a struggle to make a good, tiny bathrobe for your action figures. The head sculpt is good, the inner robes are surprisingly great. The big brown robe is still a little bulky, hangs oddly, and for some reason has a sewn-down hood. Other than face deco, the 2017 ForceLink figure offers a better hood-up experience with superior sleeves. This new Kenobi is a big improvement over many previous cloth robe versions, but it doesn't feel like the Final Form for the character at 3 3/4-inches. There's still room for improvement. Read on!
Via the Star Wars Galactic Hunter Figure of the Day Blog: Snowtrooper (The Vintage Collection). It's the best one yet - no surprise there. It's sold in a four-pack, or a typical cardback. But here's the weird thing - I've never seen it in a big box store. I can get plenty of Lando, or The Acolyte figures, maybe a Cobb Vanth or other characters. But for some reason, they decided not to put this nicely-articulated best-yet take on The Empire Strikes Back's most distinctive trooper in places where you can easily buy one, or two, or thirty. I'd recommend adding it to your squad if you can find it. Read on!
Via the Star Wars Galactic Hunter Figure of the Day Blog: Wuher (2025 - The Vintage Collection). I was happy with the old one from 2000, but this one is better. If we never got this update with the HasLab Cantina, I'd still have been happy with the 25-year-old release - but wow. Painted chest hair. Facial bruising. Bags under the eyes. A separately molded hair piece. Incredible articulation. And, for some reason, an alternate hand which adds no actual functionality since his regular mitts can hold glasses just fine. He's got a blaster too. I'd say "get this one" but that ship has theoretically sailed unless you're going to the Bay of E. Read on!
Via the Star Wars Galactic Hunter Figure of the Day Blog: Snaggletooth (Cantina Adventure Set - The Vintage Collection). A more or less modern mold painted to look like the very first Sears exclusive Star Wars figure! This guy has a blaster, three other figures, and a diorama - and the price is pretty fair for what you get in the box. The boots are molded in silver (rather than painted) plus he has pale skin and that thin red smile. It's distinctive, and you should probably buy two. Read on!

Unnecessary commentary? Why sure! Here's the TLDR on the 30 minute stream.
Via the Star Wars Galactic Hunter Figure of the Day Blog: Chewbacca (2025 - The Vintage Collection) . It's the new one, but it's also made up of a lot of parts from the 2004 figure still. They did a great job back then, but I'd also love to see what a 100%-new figure might look like. This one can sit a little better, and the head paint is good - but the bandolier might get in the way of hanging out on a chair in your Cantina if you don't angle him right. Read on!
