This is a good one. The Yellow R6-Series Astromech Droid was probably my favorite from the ones I was able to get in Orlando last month, because it looks just familiar and just different enough to be awesome. It's also in some really gonzo color. Is it worth tracking down?
Hasbro has provided us with official images of what was revealed at Celebration CVI on Friday for next year's Droid Factory Wave 2, 2013 Clone Wave 1, 2013 Movie Heroes Wave 1, Class I and II Vehicles, and Fighter Pods. Here's the breakdown:
The Disney booth was ripe with activity as Celebrationers clamored for their Star Wars meets Mouse themed exclusives. Their Holographic Leia Vinylmation that was limited to 2,500 pieces sold out by Saturday.
We've posted photos from today's Hasbro panel and booth. There are a few things to be excited about, including a TRU Vintage Slave I in 2013 and images of new Droid Factory and Clone Wars figures. Not much in terms of exclusives, but a new assortment of down-sized Class II vehicles to make them more affordable for the mommy market will surely cause debate.
Depending on where you sit as a fan, the merchandising at Star Tours is either the best thing ever or something giving you a little toy anxiety. (Hi, Ron!) This year at Celebration VI, Disney previewed Droid Factory, new Star Wars Muppets, Vinylmation, and-- get ready for this-- Star Wars Disney-Pixar Cars. Yes. Darth Mater.
It's called a good problem for Disney but less than ideal for vacationing collectors. Dan Curto is at Disney Star Wars Weekends and reported some changes with the Droid Factory packaging and availability of parts.
Hasbro's Star Wars action figure line has a long history of including "bonus" pack-ins with each figure: Freeze Frames, 3-D dioramas, Commtech Chips, Force Files, display stands, mini-hologram figures, collector coins, weapons lockers, and most recently...battle cards and battle dice.
Because we can't get enough of the awesomeness of this new shop at Disney Tatooine Traders, here's video of the Droid Factory stand courtesy of Attractions magazine.
Our pal DarthChuckMc trasmitted over Twitter some photos from Star Wars Weekends opening day and their "Darth's Mall", which featured some previews of Droid Factory Droids and new Star Wars Muppets figures.

You can build your own Astromech Droid, but what does the whole set-up look like? Our pal Chuck sent us some awesome images over teh Twitter, and you can click through to see them (and follow him) after the break.
Droid Factory makes its return to Tatooine Traders at Disney's Hollywood Studios! Attractions magazine posted on their Twitter page that Build-A-Droid will be featured at the theme park's store where you can assemble your own droid action figure.
