While a redeco, it also loses an accessory from the previous release - there's no blaster this time. But it's still an awesome droid based on 20th-century concept art, so you're probably going to be glad that you got one. Read on!

Via the Star Wars Galactic Hunter Figure of the Day Blog: Mae (Assassin, The Retro Collection). This figure answers the question "Does Hasbro still got it?" with a "Yes." She has optional masks, a cloth cloak, two daggers, incredible costume deco, an amazing likeness, and a well separately molded hair piece. Given the size Hasbro is working with I'd say this figure is as good as the modern era can be expected to get - and you might, maybe, find her in a store near you as The Acolyte stuff has been slower to move. If you see her, you should give this figure a look - it's good. Read on!

Via the Star Wars Galactic Hunter Figure of the Day Blog: Mace Windu (The Retro Collection). While smoother than actual Kenner toys, this recent-ish release does look pretty cool with his cloak and purple lightsaber. Read on!

Via the Star Wars Galactic Hunter Figure of the Day Blog: Scout Trooper (Speeder Bike / Epic Hero Series). This is a new release that's actually easy to find - most Target stores seem to be getting solid cases of just him. (But, oddly, not the Mando bike.) The figure is pretty good, with nice paint and a slick off-white coloring that looks sort of like the battle-worn armor on the show. It also includes a Stormtrooper blaster instead of the Bike Scout pistol, but it's still a neat figure with a nice toy bike. Read on!

Via the Star Wars Galactic Hunter Figure of the Day Blog: Luke Skywalker (The Vintage Collection). It's the first new version of this specific Luke at this size in years - it's been over a decade since he was in The Vintage Collection as a single-carded figure. Heck, the last best version was in a The Legacy Collection Battle Pack, so you're going to be pretty happy with this very good upgrade. Also exciting, it's a character from the movie called Star Wars, of which there are annoyingly few these days. Read on!

Via the Star Wars Galactic Hunter Figure of the Day Blog: Mae (Assassin, The Retro Collection). This is a really nice figure - she has a vinyl cape and two knives, with separately molded hair. She is in a six-pack sold online, so get her while you can. Read on!

Via the Star Wars Galactic Hunter Figure of the Day Blog: The Mandalorian (Speeder Bike / Epic Hero Series). It's an actual toy! It comes with a bike that has wheels. He has elbow and knee joints. It's a big improvement over last year's figure, but I haven't yet seen this one on store shelves. His companion, the Imperial Speeder Bike, seems to be abundant at Target though. Read on!

Via the Star Wars Galactic Hunter Figure of the Day Blog: Bo-Katan Kryze (Single, Epic Hero Series). The figure itself is identical to the version in a two-pack at Walmart with Moff Gideon, but this individually carded release has a unique accessory. Is it worth buying twice? Well, only if you're that kind of person. It's a good figure though, and it might be at a Ross near you for around four bucks - which is absolutely worth the wait in line. Read on!

Via the Star Wars Galactic Hunter Figure of the Day Blog: Clone Trooper (Phase II/Revenge of the Sith, The Retro Collection). It's decent, but it has a neck - something most Kenner-era troopers lacked until Return of the Jedi. He's a little scrawny and while it looks like a clone, it's probably my least favorite figure in the collection. Read on!

Via the Star Wars Galactic Hunter Figure of the Day Blog: Grogu (The Armorer's Forge, The Vintage Collection) . While not much of a figure - and technically, an accessory - he's interesting. He actually has a a unique torso with a new torso with the beskar armor, rather than another unadorned brown potato sack. I wouldn't say it's necessarily worth paying $60 for the figure, but with the playset and the Armorer, at least it's unique and different from the many Grogu toys you may already own. I am kind of surprised we haven't gotten a lot more variations of Grogu - him eating, playing, or what have you - as accessories to other toys. As such, it's neat to see something like this. The Hasbro Star Wars Fanstream for January 2025 is live and it's... a lot more of the same stuff you may already own, but slightly different. There were new reveals for The Vintage Collection and The Black Series, but nothing for The Retro Collection or Epic Hero Series at this time.

Via the Star Wars Galactic Hunter Figure of the Day Blog: Padme Amidala (The Retro Collection). This is the first - and possibly only - version of Natalie Portman's character in the retro format, and comes complete with cape and blaster. I'm surprised they gave her a new gray blaster mold, rather than reusing the Leia pistol. It's a pretty decent figure, with a few sculpted details that look amazing and boots that look a little too precise. Read on!

Via the Star Wars Galactic Hunter Figure of the Day Blog: Jabba the Hutt (Throne Room, The Vintage Collection). This is the third toy to use this sculpt, but he had some surprising modifications (a big vinyl square on the underside) and deco that, depending on your lighting situation, might not look as good as the one you already have. This 2024 release came with Salacious Crumb and 8D8 as well as a seat for the big guy, and it's also probably the only affordable version of this particular mold of the space gangster on the market right now.
