Star Wars Figure of the Day: Day 2,007

By Adam Pawlus — Thursday, February 21, 2013

The Republic Trooper was one of those figures they made into online exclusives last year, meaning it was a tough figure to get. It's pretty expensive still. It came with a bunch of weapons and has pretty fantastic deco, so should you get it?

Star Wars Figure of the Day: Day 2,006

By Adam Pawlus — Wednesday, February 20, 2013

This Battle Droid was the best of breed in the big MTT box last year, and will no doubt make many returns in Saga Legends and elsewhere as the new, 5-jointed mold.  It's pretty good.  It's not amazing, but it's interesting to say the least.  Want to know more?

Galactic Hunter Video Theater Presents: The Clone Wars - The Jedi Who Knew Too Much

By Adam Pawlus — Tuesday, February 19, 2013

This week on The Clone Wars: Ahsoka the fugitive in "The Jedi Who Knew Too Much." Arguably the best-looking episode of the series, this week we see breathtaking chases through pre-Imperial corridors and the streets of Coruscant. Recalling numerous films focused around cases of mistaken identity, Ahsoka has been framed. Admiral Tarkin is here. And oh, so many Shocktroopers! Spoilers and video after the break.

Star Wars Figure of the Day: Day 2,005

By Adam Pawlus — Tuesday, February 19, 2013

One of the tougher figures to find from 2012 (and that's saying something), this Imperial Navy Trooper is a pretty good update to the uniquely helmeted action figure.  Since it isn't Kenner Grey it's arguably deserving of at least one more repaint, should the stars align, but how is this release?

Hasbro: 2013 Star Tours Multi-Packs

By Mike — Tuesday, February 19, 2013

Hasbro announces two new Star Tours exclusive multi-packs that will be available beginning in May 2013 at Walt Disney Hollywood Studios in Orlando (to debut for Star Wars Weekends) and at Disneyland Resort in Anaheim soon thereafter.

SWAN 382: Toy Fair 2013 Part 3 - From the Toy Fair Floor

By Mike — Tuesday, February 19, 2013

While Hasbro has held the biggest focus coming out of Toy Fair 2013, there were plenty of other companies presenting and revealing new Star Wars items for 2013.  On this episode of Star Wars Action News, Marjorie and Arnie report on all the rest, from Kotobukiya with their lines of statues and Bishoujos to Uncle Milton's science-based Star Wars items, from Fantasy Flight Games with their Star Wars card, mini, and role-playing games to Diamond Select with their bust banks.  Plus LEGO with a slew of new sets for all price ranges!  Hear it all in this week's Star Wars Action News podcast!

Star Wars Figure of the Day: Day 2,004

By Adam Pawlus — Monday, February 18, 2013

We ran this Green R5-Series Astromech Droid through the total perspective vortex and it seems to have come out just fine.  This is a robot who really knows his place in the Universe, and that place is as a theme park exclusive that you're probably sick of reading about  by now. (This is just a hunch.)

Galactic Hunter Video Theater Presents: The Clone Wars - Sabotage

By Adam Pawlus — Sunday, February 17, 2013

This week on The Clone Wars: Let's ape the police procedural in "Sabotage." The Jedi Temple is attacked, and even the Jedi are suspects. Call in Anakin, Ahsoka, and the David Caruso Robot to investigate! This story kicks off what we are told is the final arc of an abridged season, although to be honest, the storyline could probably end right here and you wouldn't miss much. (And this one is a little late thanks to Toy Fair, but we'll have the next installment in a couple of days.) As always, video and spoilers await you after the jump!

Star Wars Figure of the Day: Day 2,003

By Adam Pawlus — Friday, February 15, 2013

Under-collected, underappreciated, and cheap, figures like this Ikopi are a cheap thrill.  The little creatures have no articulation but are the only representations of numerous wildlife in plastic.  If you're like me and you loved the designs of The Phantom Menace a great deal, you'll find a lot to like in this small line of little animal figures.

Star Wars Figure of the Day: Day 2,002

By Adam Pawlus — Thursday, February 14, 2013

Check out Obi-Wan Kenobi from last year's MTT.  (Which was selling on Amazon for $49!  Not bad for a big vehicle.)  It's a mix of parts from older figures, but isn't necessarily new enough to buy.  The whole package is amazing, but just Obi-Wan?

Star Wars Figure of the Day: Day 2,001

By Adam Pawlus — Wednesday, February 13, 2013

I just got back from New York, where snow, being thrown out of a cab, and posting FOTD #2,000 didn't keep me down!  So today you get Nien Nunb, who may be available cheaply online right now.  You'll have to check.

Star Wars Figure of the Day: Day 2,000!

By Adam Pawlus — Tuesday, February 12, 2013

Welcome to FOTD #2,000!  If you told me back in 2006 that I'd still be writing this column today, I would probably have told you to slap me.  But we're all still here, and we're looking at Jocasta Nu because why the heck not.  This online exclusive is new-ish and has a ton of gear.
