Six Second Toy Talk: Star Wars Rebels Imperial Troop Transport Vehicle

By Adam Pawlus — Wednesday, March 4, 2015

It's shipping! I got the Imperial Troop Transport from Star Wars Rebels when I ordered it at Entertainment Earth (available here now in a case with 2 per box). It's neat! It has articulated front cannons, 2 firing rockets, storage for 9 figures, and places to keep bunches of weapons. It does not have funny hats, wheels, a record player, or a large trunk for storage. Watch Six Second Toy Talk after the break to see it in action. It won't take long.

Six Second Toy Talk: Star Wars Rebels AT-DP Vehicle

By Adam Pawlus — Thursday, October 9, 2014

It's super tall! The Star Wars Rebels AT-DP Vehicle is able to seat one 3 3/4-inch scale action figure with another popping out the top hatch. It has moving legs, a firing rocket, and a rotating head - all of which you can see, after the jump.

Six Second Toy Talk: Star Wars Rebels The Phantom Vehicle

By Adam Pawlus — Tuesday, October 7, 2014

It's nice! The Star Wars Rebels The Phantom Vehicle is able to seat two 3 3/4-inch scale action figures and a bunch of accessories. It has opening wings, firing rockets (well, one), and other exciting features - all of which you can see, after the jump.

Six Second Toy Talk: Star Wars Rebels The Inquisitor's TIE Advanced Prototype Vehicle

By Adam Pawlus — Sunday, October 5, 2014

It's here! The Star Wars Rebels The Inquisitor's TIE Advanced Prototype Vehicle is one of three all-new entries into the sacred canon of 3 3/4-inch scale action figure vehicles. We don't get new ones very often, so it's a day to be excited about. You can order it online, you can find it in a store, but the important thing here is that you try to get one - it's pretty slick. And you can get a rundown of all of its major features in a video that takes less time to watch than it took to read this description, after the jump.

Six Second Toy Talk: Star Wars Rebels Mission Series The Ghost (Toys R Us Exclusive)

By Adam Pawlus — Saturday, September 20, 2014

Toys R Us' new Hasbro exclusive Star Wars Rebels Mission Series The Ghost action figure set is making the rounds for $19.99 a pop if you can find it. (My closest store doesn't seem to have any yet.)  In it, you get Kanan Jarrus and Ezra Bridger - which may be identical to the single-carded versions, we'll see - plus an exclusive holographic Obi-Wan Kenobi.  It's quite nice.   I have 3 short videos (one for each) after the break.

Six Second Toy Talk: Star Wars The Black Series Walgreens Concept Armor Boba Fett Action Figure

By Adam Pawlus — Monday, September 8, 2014

The white-hot ticket this week is Walgreens' Boba Fett (Concept Armor) 6-inch action figure.  When you find it, it'll be $19.99 and near sick, sneezing, and otherwise happy people. The figure is a redecorated 2013 Boba Fett, which you may recall was an excellent toy for the price.  This white Boba Fett has unique armor that is colored differently than his 3 3/4-inch counterpart, which you will see in a video after the jump.

Six Second Toy Talk: The Black Series Ree-Yees Action Figure

By Adam Pawlus — Friday, August 29, 2014

With three eyes, Ree-Yees has been one of the more recognizable aliens form the Star Wars saga since his 1983 action figure debut. Kenner refreshed him in 1998 and this 2014 edition is the first new one in over a decade. He's a big upgrade on almost every possible metric, minus a new ball joint in the waist popping apart easily which means he pretty much can't sit. However, he does have sculpted trigger fingers which was nothing short of amazing. Go ahead and get one. Also note cameos by Boba Fett and the previous Kenner Ree-Yees figures in Six Second Toy Talk, after the break.

Six Second Toy Talk: The Black Series Darth Vader Action Figure

By Adam Pawlus — Thursday, August 28, 2014

Tired of video previews of action figures that take a whole minute - or worse, several minutes?  In the amount of time it would take you to think "yes" to yourself, you could already be watching this Six Second Toy Talk: The Black Series Darth Vader Action Figure video - and almost done with it.  Check it out, after the jump.

Review + Video: Star Wars Black Series 6-Inch Darth Maul Action Figure

By Adam Pawlus — Saturday, August 10, 2013

With The Black Series' 6-inch action figure line, Hasbro is focusing on adult and collector fan favorites which means Darth Maul is a sure thing. Traditionally the one character from the first prequel that everybody agrees is worth owning, Hasbro did a great job on this figure and it's probably the best-looking action figure of Mr. Maul we'll ever see. Review + Video: Star Wars Black Series 6-Inch Luke Skywalker (X-Wing Pilot) Action Figure

By Adam Pawlus — Tuesday, August 6, 2013

Because every line needs a hero, The Black Series' 6-inch action figure line brings us the Rebel Pilot version of Luke Skywalker from the original Star Wars. This figure is exceptional, with great detail and the ability to do things not all pilots can do - he can sit! With Bespin Luke due soon, should you order the pilot version now? This review is sponsored by Entertainment Earth. More (and a video) after the jump.

Review + Video: Star Wars Black Series 6-Inch Sandtrooper Action Figure

By Adam Pawlus — Monday, August 5, 2013

Hasbro's launch of The Black Series' 6-inch action figure line kicks off with a figure that wasn't (but should've been) in the original line with the Sandtrooper. Having transformed from just a stormtrooper with mud and a shoulder pad to a surprisingly robust creation with unique knee armor, multiple guns, a giant backpack, and ammo pouches, this is undoubtedly the first 6-inch retail figure that you not only want, but simply must have. This review is sponsored by Entertainment Earth. More (and a video) after the jump.

Review + Video: Star Wars Black Series 6-Inch R2-D2

By Adam Pawlus — Saturday, August 3, 2013

It's been in the works for a while, as the economy and collector interests have made The Black Series' 6-inch action figure line an essential addition.   R2-D2 is our token representation of the original 12 in the debut wave. Seeing as how fully-realized we've seen the droid in the 3 3/4-inch scale, is it possible to make him better - or just bigger? This review is sponsored by Entertainment Earth. Watch the video and read the review after the break!

Video Review: Star Wars The Black Series SDCC Boba Fett Action Figure

By Adam Pawlus — Thursday, July 25, 2013

The bad news: it sold out.  The good news: it's coming back in wave 2, minus the carbonite block.  It's The Black Series Boba Fett as Hasbro's debut super-articulated 6-inch action figure.  It has more articulation than ever, and the detail is pretty good too.  Oh, and it's scaled to that Hoverboard you got last year from Matty Collector.  Want to know more? Sure you do - read on and watch the video!
