Via Variety: Disney Strikes Deal for Sony to Take Over Its DVD, Blu-ray Disc Business. From TFA: " As part of the deal, Sony will market, sell and distribute all Disney’s new releases and catalog titles on physical media to consumers through retailers and distributors in the U.S. and Canada. Disney will continue to manage its own digital media, like premium video-on-demand."
Some stores like FYE, Barnes & Noble, Target, and Walmart still carry some physical media while Best Buy retail stores are in the process of phasing it out. In many markets, local media and record shops might be an even better bet as the once-ubiquitous 5-inch digital versatile disc is increasingly a niche product, albeit one that has enjoyed a much longer and arguably stronger life than VHS.
Today's the day! Without too much fuss, Target's exclusive AT-ACT Driver has joined the Rogue One: A Star Wars Story DVD and Blu-Ray at retail today. It's worth noting Target has an exclusive deluxe Blu-Ray set with bonus content as well, and the price may vary. The tag said $29.99 but it rang up $27.99. Go figure.

If you're so inclined, Amazon has Blu-Ray and DVD releases for Star Wars Rebels Season 1 up for grabs. DVD is currently $39.99, Blu-Ray is $45.99.
Clone Wars: The Lost Missions DVD and Clone Wars: The Lost Missions Blu-Ray are in stores now. I saw them at Walmart over lunch, and you can click those links to get yours at Amazon. Each set has the unaired (but Netflixed) episodes, plus some reels of unaired episodes.
It's coming! Season 5 of The Clone Wars will be out on DVD and Blu-Ray. Not only will it be sold in a set by itself, but a better, much cheaper Blu-Ray of all 5 seasons is coming to penalize those of us that bought the sets along the way.
The official site has a story about The Clone Wars Complete Season 3 home video release, which means DVDs and Blu-Ray discs on October 18. Lots of deleted scenes. It's going to be an expensive Fall, kids!
After the first announcement in August, we now have a fuller idea of what's coming on Blu-Ray in September courtesy of a new official announcement. There will be three SKUs:

The Walmart exclusive Malevolence DVD 2 Packs have been spotted at a store in San Diego for $15.97 each. Each set comes with a DVD containing an episode from The Clone Wars Malevolence story arc. Other than this, the figures have been re-issued from previously released blister cards.
