The paint masks seem identical to the box figure and the carded Episode I figure, but the brown dirt/damage is lighter - so the Episode I/Droid Depot Battle Droids are virtually identical, and you probably can't tell there's any difference between this and the red/black boxed version without a side-by-side comparison.
