It's a good figure but not an authentic figure - the colors and new helmet are great, but the armor is just a recolor of the Republic version. It's not really accurate to the show, so a version 2.0 is pretty much essential right out of the gate. Regardless, it does look cool in and of itself and is arguably worth a buy at regular price. The old 2016 figure is new and improved with an impressive photoreal face, and this does indeed mean your old ones are old and inferior.
