There's always hope! Walmart has 3 figures up for grabs now and more are coming. Tonight you can order Luke Skywalker (dirty boot redeco recolor of 2012 Vintage Blu-Ray Jedi Luke), Darth Vader (repack, possible redeco of the 500th Vader mold), and Chewbacca (possible redeco of 2004 Vintage Chewbacca.) I'm in the middle of a series of large crises so I'll update this with facts (or your comments) as time permits. As you wait, click below to see the figures at Walmart.com.
Upcoming releases include the unreleased Ceremonial Leia, Kylo Ren, and a First Order Stormtrooper.
Ad: Entertainment Earth added two new Hasbro Star Wars exclusives to its all-new The Force Awakens shop! The first-ever Crimson Stormtrooper figure is in a new all-Empire The Black Series boxed set, and from The Force Awakens comes a Desert Assault Walker with a swell Sandtrooper-inspired First Order Stormtrooper Officer.
We're in a hurry, so I'm pasting this in real quick - The Black Series 3 3/4-inch aren't quite dead. Where did they go? Find out after the jump.
Hasbro sent along a handy-dandy list in a press release, and here you go.
Hey, it's R4-D23 (D23 Exclusive)! And tomorrow is Force Friday, but you knew that. This one was sold at the Disney show recently, and it's pretty nifty - you don't have one like this. Read on!
From the Star Wars Weekends comes this newish R2-D2 (Holographic) action figure. It's clear blue, unpainted, and uses the newer Disney droid tooling. Should you snag one? Read on!
This week in Q&A: Let's talk New Expanded Universe comics. Canon, shmannon - it ain't a thing until it's a toy! Also a request for scans of a vintage Kenner game - can you help? Finally Vintage Lightsaber coloring issues - why yellow? Why not? It's a mystery for the ages.
So send in your questions for next week. Read on!
If you ain't seen it, the Walmart Exclusive Funko Pop! Vinyl Sandtrooper and Dewback may be at a store near you - and if it's like my local Walmart, it's literally the only Star Wars thing on the aisle. The two-pack is $20.00 which means it's quite the decent deal. Good hunting!
Today in Figure of the Day - before a brief hiatus so I can get some other things in order so we can hopefully all have a fun September - is R5-Series Astromech Droid Black with Silver and Orange. It's another Disney droid, and potentially available at a theme park "near" you right now. Is it worth it? Read on!
This week in Q&A: No. So how about getting Vintage Collection figures you missed reissued cheaply? No. Can you expect Japanese imports at prices closer to Hasbro? No. And what about Midnight Madness - is this fair to people with jobs? Well...
You see where this is all going. So send in your questions for next week. Read on!
Hey, remember those waves of figures in Yoda-themed packaging that never made it out in the USA? Well, this Captain Rex is one of them - he has different deco than the 2012 release, plus added knee joints. Is it worth tracking down this mostly European release? Read on!
The R2-Series Astromech Droid Grey and White from Disney's droid part bins look a lot like R2-Q2, an exclusive from 2006. Since there may be more than one of it in the movie, is it different enough to be interesting - or the same enough to be the same? Read on!
Hey kids, it's Clone Commander Doom! Based on the 6th season episodes, this movie-style version of a Clone Wars figure is nice. Not perfect, but nice. Did you get yours yet? Maybe you should track one down - read on!
With or without her helmet, the new 3 3/4-inch Princess Leia Organa (Boushh) seems to share a digital sculpt with the 6-inch version. You'll see differences - this one has a dedicated detonator in her hand, and less face paint - but it's still pretty good. Read on!
This week in Q&A: Let's talk about The Hasbro License! Do you know how long Hasbro has the Star Wars license? I do! Also Mosep - will we see his ilk again? ...maybe. And Force Friday because we're all cranky and waiting in line for the purposes of corporate publicity sucks.
So send in your questions for next week. Read on!
