Here's a preview of the forthcoming sixth scale Captain Phasma from Hot Toys. The First Order commander features authentic likeness and detail with 25 points of articulation and interchangeable hands. The good captain is expected to ship in Q2-Q3 2016.

Sideshow unveils their upcoming Sixth Scale Darth Maul Duel on Naboo figure that features a fully articulated body, true to character sculpt, and amazing paint detail, not to mention his signature double bladed lightsaber with removable blades. The Sideshow exclusive even comes with an additional battle damaged "severed" lightsaber accessory.

"And now, your Highness, we will discuss the location of your hidden Rebel base." The fine folks at Hot Toys teases us with preview images of their upcoming 1/6 scale Interrogator Droid that delightfully features all the accouterments to extract what you needed from snarky, double bunned Princesses of Alderaan! 

Pre-orders are now being taken for the upcoming Sixth Scale Arc Trooper Echo and Fives in their Phase II Armor. The Sideshow exclusive versions include a base with character themed art. The figures retail for $149.99 each and are expected to ship in June 2015.

With Hot Toys' announcement of their new 1/6 and 1/4 scale license, it will be interesting to see what direction in both product and quality Sideshow will be pursuing. They certainly make a strong case by continuing a formidable representation of Sixth Scale figures like the upcoming Sixth Scale X-Wing Luke and Arc Trooper. The new Premium Format Boba Fett also looks fantastic with its more action oriented stature as opposed to the version released a few years earlier. 

Hot Toys just announced today on their Facebook page that they have acquired the rights to produce Star Wars 1/6 and 1/4 scale figures, including the upcoming sequels. More after the jump!

Sideshow is now taking pre-orders for their Sixth Scale Boba Fett in Prototype Armor based on Joe Johnston's early design of the galaxy's most notorious bounty hunter. The sixth scale, fully articulated figure features a unique white armor, protoype rifle, and a fabric cape.
