Star Wars Figure of the Day: Day 1,900

By Adam Pawlus — Tuesday, September 25, 2012

#1,900! How did we make it this far?  Why did we make it this far?  It's time to look at a swell black-and-silver Mygeeto Super Battle Droid which, it seems, a lot of us missed.  Is it cool? Of course! Read on!

Star Wars Figure of the Day: Day 1,899

By Adam Pawlus — Monday, September 24, 2012

It's another C-3PO, although one oddly based on the 4-LOM body!  It's pretty good.  You can swap heads, and the deco is quite nice.  If you missed the 2010 release, you'll probably be sorry.  Read on!

Star Wars Figure of the Day: Day 1,898

This Passel Argente redeco is orange, and it sports a lightsaber slash on his chest.  That's really about all there is to it.  Should you get one?  Eh.  Read on!

The Droid Factory Star Tours-exclusive Red R5-Series Astromech Droid isn't R5-D4, but it's kind of close!  The unique dome has slightly different deco, plus it lacks the antenna of the build-a-droid mold seen at retail.  Is it worth buying, or should you ask for a red robot refund?

Star Wars Figure of the Day: Day 1,896

By Adam Pawlus — Wednesday, September 19, 2012

This is a good one.  If you're one of the few readers who still believe it's important for an action figure to be a good toy, this Anakin Skywalker is one of the better ones.  Not only does he have the first entirely-new sculpt of Jake Lloyd as Anakin in over a decade, but he has a wacky fun toy backpack that feels like it was ripped right out of the 1990s... when the first Anakin came with a backpack which did absolutely nothing.

Star Wars Figure of the Day: Day 1,895

Hey kids, it's Flitchee!  This is one of thse figures who didn't really have a name until the toy came to pass.  He looks different than the figure on the box, too!  Want to know more?  Read on!

Star Wars Figure of the Day: Day 1,894

The Clone Trooper Lieutenant is starting to finally trickle into stores, just in time for you to go "Didn't I get this in San Diego?" (Yes.)  It's still quite good, and as a repaint it's OK.  If yours has eyebrows, anyway.  Read on!

Star Wars Figure of the Day: Day 1,893

Arguably one of the more interesting TIE Fighter pilot names, Mauler Mithel came from, if my abacus is truthful, Decipher's customizable card game.  The pilot is notable with his rubbed helmet symbol and... pilot-ness.

Star Wars Figure of the Day: Day 1,892

This Gasgano from 2012 lacks the Pit Droid from 1999, but has a flag and slightly different deco.  So you'll probably begrudgingly buy this one, if at all.  Read on!

Star Wars Figure of the Day: Day 1,891

By Adam Pawlus — Wednesday, September 12, 2012

Who loves a good argument?  The Nightsister which just showed up at Target is sold with animated versions of Darth Maul and Savage Opress, but is sculpted to match a prequel concept for a proto-Darth Maul Sith Witch character.  She's not very cartoony, but if anything, feels like a stealth "concept" figure rather than a Mother Talzin substitute.

Star Wars Figure of the Day: Day 1,890

The Darth Sidious that is made the least tends to sell best, and the 2012 version ain't bad. It has a nice head sculpt popped on a 2005 body, but the sculpt of the 1999 version is pretty charming still.  Is this a worthy upgrade?  Read on!

Star Wars Figure of the Day: Day 1,889

This is a good one.  The Yellow R6-Series Astromech Droid was probably my favorite from the ones I was able to get in Orlando last month, because it looks just familiar and just different enough to be awesome.  It's also in some really gonzo color.  Is it worth tracking down?

Star Wars Fighter Pods Series 3 Checklist

By Adam Pawlus — Saturday, September 8, 2012

A few of you have written in asking which Fighter Pods were exclusive to the series 3 blind bags.  A good question!  But let's do you one better and give you a Star Wars Fighter Pods Series 3 Checklist!

Star Wars Fighter Pods Naboo Starfighter Shipping, Here's Another Video

By Adam Pawlus — Saturday, September 8, 2012

The Naboo Starfighter Pack is the sole carded "vehicle pack" in Star Wars Fighter Pods Series 3.  (There's a boxed one too, so don't fret too much.)  It includes an exclusive Anakin Skywalker, Darth Maul, and Naboo Starfighter while introducing the new "Spinfire Launchers" which aren't half bad.  Despite the series being more than 50% repaints, the new elements are actually a heck of a lot of fun in this set.  See the video and figures after the jump... or don't.  Whatever.

Star Wars Figure of the Day: Day 1,888

There are many, many C-3PO figures and this is one of them.  Based on a retooled and redecorated 2005 mold, the Resurgence of the Jedi release has some extra smudging and black oil paint. Is it cool?  Read on!
