Star Wars Figure of the Day: Day 1,877

By Adam Pawlus — Thursday, August 23, 2012

Hey kids, this figure is labeled Queen Amidala and it's old.  It's pretty good, though!  The detail is good, the deco is nice, and it's pretty cheap.  Read on!

Star Wars Figure of the Day: Day 1,876

Every now and again, some of our favorite action figures have a patron saint.  Nho'Apakk was one such figure, although the news of his patron isn't so rosy.  Find out why this figure rocked, and some sad news when you read on.

Star Wars Figure of the Day: Day 1,875

While not quite a figure, but way cooler than just an accessory, this year's SDCC exclusive Jar Jar Binks in Carbonite is a real oddity. You can sort of see it in The Force Unleashed, it has a great sculpt, but it's a little small to fit Jar Jar.  Yet it's one of the most compelling items of the year.

Star Wars Figure of the Day: Day 1,874

A 1999 weapon with a 2012 figure! This Qui-Gon Jinn has an amazing sculpt, yet has articulation that seemed dated in 1983.  It's a good thing it's awesome overall-- read on, you'll like this one!

Star Wars Figure of the Day: Day 1,873

It's Tippet, a brand-new Toys R Us exclusive Ewok with 2 weapons and 2 hoods from his 2 appearances in Marvel Comics!  I like this one a bunch, and since you asked for more Ewoks, here you are!  Read on!

Star Wars Figure of the Day: Day 1,872

It's Princess Leia in Bespin Gown, part of the latest wave (and Comic-Con exclusive pack) from Hasbro!  Even though the last one was good, this one is an improvement.  Should you get one?

Star Wars Figure of the Day: Day 1,871

By Adam Pawlus — Wednesday, August 15, 2012

New for 2012, but old now, is the first-ever movie-specific Quinlan Vos figure.  Based on a background extra, this presumed authentic release looks fantastic. Should you get one?

Star Wars Figure of the Day: Day 1,870

By Adam Pawlus — Tuesday, August 14, 2012

While not as new as some recently featured figures, Yoda is no less impressive!  This tiny figure is more of a statue than an action figure, and he's super-cheap on eBay.  The figure has an amazing paint job and, frankly, looks better than a lot of the movie Yodas out there.

Star Wars Figure of the Day: Day 1,869

By Adam Pawlus — Monday, August 13, 2012

It's the new Jek Porkins, just now arriving at Toys R Us stores!  Part of a Yavin Pilot Pack, the figure is a little bit bigger than his fellow pilots but thinner than the 2000 figure.

Review: Vintage Collection Scout Walker (AT-ST)

By Mike — Sunday, August 12, 2012

Hasbro repaints 2009's awesome AT-ST mold, repacks it in a Vintage Collection box, and offers it up as a K-Mart exclusive. For $34.99, it's rightly priced without a figure compared to the $44 that included one with the Legacy Collection Wal-Mart exclusive. Are the superb Vintage packaging and enhanced deco enough to make you collect another Chicken Walker?

Celebration VI: Hasbro Droid Parts Swap, Internet Only

By Mike — Friday, August 10, 2012

Hasbro may not have an exclusive for Celebration VI, but they still have something planned for their booth, including another Droid Factory Parts Swap. They also officially confirm the internet only exclusivity of Vintage Wave 7:

Star Wars Figure of the Day: Day 1,868

By Adam Pawlus — Friday, August 10, 2012

If you ask me, and most people do, there's nothing more exciting than a new 1980s Expanded Universe figure. ESPECIALLY if it's an Ewok like Kneesaa, new to stores this week! How is she? Read on!

Star Wars Figure of the Day: Day 1,867

By Adam Pawlus — Thursday, August 9, 2012

Check out Bib Fortuna, the 2004 repaint of the 1997 figure.  At first glance they're identical, but oh no, they are not! New paint and other tweaks make this one just different enough to make you mad.  Read on!

Star Wars Figure of the Day: Day 1,866

The new Darth Vader isn't as new as it was... but this light-up lightsaber release may still be tough to find.  Is it worth tracking down?  Read on!

Review: VC115 Darth Vader (Emperor's Wrath)

By Mike — Tuesday, August 7, 2012

Out of all the scene specific Vader's, an "Emperor's Wrath" is probably one of the more symbolic in the saga. Perhaps this figure should have been badged as "Redemption" Vader, though it doesn't have as cool a tone. This is the third Force Lightning energized 'Wrath" Vader in the line (although "Emperor's Wrath" as a sub-moniker isn't mentioned on either card variant), the first as far back as 2000's Power of the Jedi. The Vintage Collection version includes a detachable hand, Force Lightning effects, and what's become a signature look for this scene specific figure; a transparent helmet.
