Digital Star Wars Saga - Downloads April 10 with New, Old Features

By Adam Pawlus — Monday, April 6, 2015

StarWars.com updated today with The Star Wars Digital Movie Collection Coming April 10.  While no pricing was listed, Amazon is asking $99.99 when I started writing this, but dropped it to $89.99 a few minutes later.   iTunes has theirs for $19.99 per movie with no visible bundle at press time.

Also, new and legacy (old) special features will be included in this digital HD format.  It's also notable that, like albums, "digital bonus offerings may vary by retailer" meaning you will need to see which version you need to buy, or your friend needs to buy, or gets uploaded to YouTube for 30 seconds so you can scope it out there.

By Adam Pawlus — Thursday, April 2, 2015

Check out Commander Bly, the odd man out in the Endor wave of Saga Legends.  He doesn't have the brown stripe, he doesn't have a round peg on his binoculars, but he is pretty cheap - so why not read this review?

Star Wars Figure of the Day: Day 2,134: AT-DP Driver (Star Wars Rebels Saga Legends)

By Adam Pawlus — Tuesday, March 31, 2015

While its namesake may inspire giggles, the AT-DP Driver is a pretty great figure.  It's a new character in a new costume, for a new vehicle, and it's only about six bucks when you can find one.  The color isn't perfect, but the amount of paint and added detail is excellent.  Read on!

By Adam Pawlus — Monday, March 30, 2015

Check out the new 2015 AT-AT Driver!  With 5 points of articulation it's really an ideal figure for the vintage 1980 and the POTF2-era AT-AT vehicles, thanks to his lack of knees.  Detail is pretty good, and if you get this one you can save your Saga Collection and Vintage Collection releases for the new, big, fancier AT-ATsRead on!

Q&A: The Menace Awakens, Star Wars Digital, and Action Figure Variants

By Adam Pawlus — Sunday, March 29, 2015

This week in Q&A: How is The Force Awakens comparing to The Phantom Menace nine months out? Let's also talk digital releases and variations, just like the old days. Did you know that in the 1990s people bought multiple figures based on subtle changes of the belt, or a comma on the packaging, or a warning sticker? It's true!
