This week in Star Wars Q&A - Excitement. Do I need everybody to be as excited as a fan? Well... no. And that's the only question we got, so let's glossy over 2023 really quickly. It was jam-packed with stuff but fans don't seem too excited for it. The solution? Give us less stuff, and time to enjoy it.
Be sure you send in your questions, the mail bag is empty. We have one question for next week's update. Read on!
Via the Star Wars Galactic Hunter Figure of the Day Blog: General Hera Syndulla (The Vintage Collection). It's important to release a character in triplicate, and all three flavors came out last fall. This one is 3 3/4-inches tall and has all the articulation, making it the one you'll probably want to have handy when The Ghost shows up from HasLab later this year. Read on!
Via the Star Wars Galactic Hunter Figure of the Day Blog: Professor Huyang (The Black Series). You might actually find him in stores now. The sculpting is great, the paint is good, but the plastic reads more as "plastic" than "metal robot." But it's good - the articulation is top-notch and the design made the jump to a 6-inch figure pretty nicely. Read on!

Via the Star Wars Galactic Hunter Figure of the Day Blog: Power Droid (Advent Calendar 2022). It's a present - and it looks pretty good, too. Dare you unwrap this Sandcrawler box of robots and find a green robot inside with a ribbon? Probably, it's been on sale lately. Read on!
Ad: Amazon has Star Wars: The Retro Collection The Book of Boba Fett Fennec Shand, Cad Bane, Krrsantan, Boba Fett (Dune Sea), and others in stock for $11.99 each. That's good! Luke, the Tusken Warrior, Grogu, and The Mandalorian use old figures with new deco or accessories, while the other four are distinctive new sculpts. These are affiliate links, which means this site may get a cut of a sale if you click through and buy something.
Via the Star Wars Galactic Hunter Figure of the Day Blog: General Hera Syndulla (The Retro Collection). If you can find one, it's a fun figure. This is a new mold that aims to make a figure close to something like they sold in the 1980s, but it has details like a little lip paint and patches on the jacket that we'd never have seen back then. It's not exactly like an old Kenner figure, but it comes close with the 5 joints, and the blaster loop holster, and the fact she can actually fit in your old vehicles. (And hopefully, the new one coming in the fall from HasLab.) Read on!
This week in Star Wars Q&A - kid stuff - what is it good for? And Let's go on a date... well... we don't have the dates.
Also a letter to Santa for The Retro Collection. We had an incredible year. We got a Return of the Jedi carded wave plus a six-pack, we got Ahsoka and The Book of Boba Fett waves, we got three 2-packs of bounty hunters from The Empire Strikes Back, and we even got the back half of the original 12. But, of course, I'm greedy and am asking Santa for more.

Because I was lazy and didn't check the search box while writing my last figure review, Reader Todd wrote in to say: "I've had a custom retro life day chewie for quite awhile now! Check out the cape master: https://thecapemaster.com/collections/star-wars/products/6
I was lamenting that there should have been a Kenner-style figure, given the Holiday Special's unique vintage, and fans have once again done what the Lucas/Disney Industrial Complex have not. The robe (no figure) is $10, and they also have some distinctive upgrades for the Tusken Raider robes and other replacement Star Wars capes.
Ad: Amazon has the Star Wars: The Retro Collection Biker Scout and Jedi Knight Luke Skywalker Kenner figures from earlier this year for a mere $6.99 each. That's less than they cost originally, when adjusted for inflation. Grab 'em while you can. (Also, support the site - if you buy something, we may get a commission from the sale.)
Buy yourself a gift. They're cheap.
Via the Star Wars Galactic Hunter Figure of the Day Blog: Chewbacca (Life Day, The Vintage Collection). Pondering his orb! This is a figure over 40 years in the making, taking a 2004 body and giving him an orb, a slanket, a new head, and a new hand. It's not quite a perfect match for what was on The Star Wars Holiday Special, but it's probably all we will get in the world of action figures. Is it good enough? Read on!
Via the Star Wars Galactic Hunter Figure of the Day Blog: Pre Vizsla (The Black Series). You wanted him when the cartoon was still on, but hey, now you've got his revised armor with the fancy helmet and Darksaber. For a retool, it's pretty good! You might even see it in stores, so grab one if you see it and remember who he is. Read on!
This week in Star Wars Q&A - The Bad Batch! Where are the rest of them in The Vintage Collection? And Mission Fleet - hey, at least I didn't wait until Christmas to ruin Christmas.

Via the Star Wars Galactic Hunter Figure of the Day Blog: R5 Droid (Advent Calendar 2022). It's a nutcracker, I think! You can see the eyes in the neck, and the dome is a hat, and the beard is on the top of the body. I think. Maybe it's just a test of your human imagination to see patterns where only chaos exists... but I like to think the red, black, gold, and white droid is here to open snacks. Read on!
