There's never a shortage of Clone Trooper toys today, but back from 2002 and 2005 these warriors were far and few between-- which is why Entertainment Earth had these exclusive action figure packs. How is this unique battle damaged variant? Read on!
Another cold, wintery Toy Fair is behind us, and while we understand the reasons behind having it in New York in February, there has to be some workaround where we aren't under a blizzard warning every year and don't have to explain to our spouses or significant others why Valentine's Day for a toy geek actually falls the next Saturday after Toy Fair. But we digress.
Back in 1999 and 2000, Hasbro really cranked out a lot of Jar Jar Binks figures. Some had great head sculpts, some... well, some were like this. He looks bored, doesn't have jointed legs, and the paint is basically OK. Should you bother? Read on!
This Saga Legends Sandtrooper is one of my favorites. It's a good mold with a great paint wipe, which resulted in a stunning figure which people actually still want today. (Unreal, I know.) You should get one-- so read on!
"The Force will be with you, always." No kidding! As we at Galactic Hunter begin coverage of our twelfth, respective, Hasbro event at Toy Fair, we are awestruck by the breadth of the modern line, as it continues to expand into its 16th year! [Some collectors have had children who couldn't even play with action figures graduate high school by now!]
Hasbro put on their fancy duds today to show off their latest new and shiny goodies for 2011. Here's a PDF of the Power Point presentation for your perusal. The whole gang is here - including Bastilla Shan (not shown in the showroom) and the Mail-Away Prototype Empire Strikes Back Boba Fett. Enjoy, and let us know what you think of this year's starting line-up.
The upcoming Republic Attack Shuttle is this year's BIG ship featuring plenty of features in vehicle and battle mode. Check out this Hasbro Toy Fair showroom video demonstrating its many capabilities. The pricepoint is $79.99, includes a pack-in Clone, and is slated for release this fall. Enjoy!
Our first wave of images from the Hasbro Toy Fair presentation are up and ready for your perusal. We have Jedi, an Ewok, and Sith Lords - oh my! (Look for the "next" link at the bottom to scroll through the pix and keep the fun rolling!) As always, feel free to comment. What do YOU think about this year's haul?
The official Toy Fair presentation images from Hasbro have been added to our Image Bank as we work through our "on the scene shots". Some figures like Bastilla Shan were not on display, so the official image is the only way to see her. Also note that Barris Offee will have a plastic cloak, not the soft goods version shown. (The aesthetic did not quite match the look Hasbro desired.)
A few notes on this afternoon's Hasbro presentation:
The big news announcement, especially for Vintage Collection fans is the specially carded Revenge of the Jedi cardbacks featuring the unproduced title and logo for Episode VI. There will be 12 figures carded with this logo including a new Slave Leia, B-wing Pilot, Death Star Luke. These will not be considered chase Galactic Hunt figures and should be readily available in retail.
We are as live as we can be at the Hasbro Collector Event at Toy Fair in New York City. Keep your eyes on this article as we update. Vintage continues through 2012.. Clone Commander Wolf. Grievous With Mini Speeder. RC Republic Tank.
